A very large fully equipped modern open plan apartment.The fully equipped kitchen has everything our guests need to make their stay perfect. We offer a welcome pack to make our guests feel at home .Tea,coffee,sugar, jam salt & pepper, olive oil,milk & butter can be found in the top cupboards and fridge. The comfy super king bed can be arranged as 2 large singles if prefered,there are two bedside table with lamps, a dressing table and a wardrobe.An iron & board is ialso provided. The modern shower room offers full size toiletries for our guests to use (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner & hand wash.Towels ,beach towels and bedding are provided . The dining room is very spacious and there is a work desk with wi fi & info about local places to explore. The lounge area has a modern sofa , coffee...

A quiet, out of town location but close enough to great restaurants, lakes and interesting places to visit.
A great well appointed apartment with the perfect hosts in a beautiful location with lots to see within a half hours ride Don't miss the amazing caves, Roman City and the National train museum and of course the historical toen of Tomar.

Very positive and restful
Great apartment with everything requiered for a comfortable stay, very cozy; the private terrace is a bonus.
The property is situated within walking distance from a bar, easy driving distance from restaurants and a river-beach. Lovely views of countryside and very peaceful.
The owners are very helpful and the cats are delightful.
Highly recommended.

Fijn verblijf in ruim appartement en adembenemende omgeving.
Eerlijk gezegd hebben deze lieve mensen ons opgevangen toen wij niet in ons eigen huis konden wonen. We hebben het zeer ruime appartement zien bouwen. Het is prachtig geworden. De eerste gasten zijn al geweest en waren allemaal blij verrast met alle comfort. Een heerlijk ruime douche, een fijne keuken met alles erop en eraan. Een van de mooiste dingen vind ik het terras met werkelijk een adembenemend uitzicht, waar je helemaal vrij kunt zitten. Sandie en Ray zijn gezellige, enthousiaste mensen, allebei muzikanten en zeer creatief bezig met oa. aquarelleren (workshops) en houtbewerken. Ze vinden het heerlijk om in de tuin te werken. Sandie heeft de tuin met een zee van bloemen aangelegd en Ray kweekt groente en fruit. Ze genieten
ervan je te vertellen wat er in de buurt allemaal te zien en te beleven valt. Restaurants, markten, mooie plekken aan het water, kastelen, opgravingen etc. Een fijne plek waar je je welkom zult voelen in een prachtige omgeving qua natuur en historie. 🌺

A wonderful stay in an immaculate apartment in countryside setting.
A wonderful retreat in natural surroundings. The airy and modern apartment is very tastefully furnished and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. It has one of the best showers we have encountered! The apartment has its own entrance and a private patio with pergola seating area - perfect for relaxing and enjoying the lovely views. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and are happy to give advice regarding places to visit. Highly recommended.

Lovely accommodation
We stayed here 3 nights . The apartment was very nice and a good size with a private entrance .The bed was very comfortable and the whole place was clean . The outside area was so nice to sit out in and watch the sunset . The host are very welcoming and can recommend places to visit. There is a nice bar within walking distance. There were some nice welcoming touches when we arrived . We picked fresh lemons from the garden .

About the neighborhood
Martimbraz is just a 3 min drive from the A13 motorway.
Although it feels out of the way we are only a few mins by car to the nearest village of Cabacos where you will find cafes,supermarket, hairdressers,bank and chemist etc..There is a large Monday market there every week where you can buy shoes, clothes, bedding, things for the home, plants, veggies etc....We are 5 mins from the beauty spot of Dornes with its ancient Templar tower, boat trips, Kayak hire and river beaches, and you can be in Historic Tomar or Coimbra within 30 mins.Our area also affords wonderful walks by the river Zezere or through woodland(There are visigoth graves not far from our home) .
Getting around
A car is needed to explore the local towns. The nearest train station is in Tomar where you can go up to O Porto or down to Lisbon. The motorway system in central Portugal is superb and always quiet, so no hassles with traffic.

From the A13 exit at junction 22 and folow signs for BECO. After the second roundabout you follow the Beco sign .(2nd turn off roundabout) then you will take the 2nd turn right (sign Souto, Martimbraz) at the Solar Do Cruz cafe. Quinta De Oliveiras is approx. 800m down on the right.
