Beautiful holiday home has everything you need. Very clean. Hosts very welcoming Fantastic location made trips to Bruges,Ypres, WWI sites easy. Ghent also made for a good day out. Local bakery and bar friendly. Freshwater pool enjoyed by younger members of family. Charlie the border terrier not so keen after falling in almost as soon as we arrived !

Tasteful barn conversion
15 minutes from Bruges this is a lovely place to stay. We chose this accommodation as was searching for somewhere for 2 mature couples and we wanted 2 equal comfortable bedrooms not a place with one master and then a children’s room. We had one unit out of 4 self contained within this old barn. Tastefully renovated and furnished with extremely comfortable beds. Lovely country outlook, the owners live on site and can help with all needs. They keep some small animals like sheep and chickens. Suitable for families but children must be supervised as there is an unfenced eco swimming pond.
We found the stairs steep with narrow treads but just required to be taken with care (we are all over 70)

Heerlijke vakantiewoning op een prachtige locatie!
De vakantiewoning is van alle gemakken voorzien, schoon, ruim en zeer compleet. De bedden zijn heerlijk!
Het eigen privéterras is ook heel fijn, en daarbij nog een gezamenlijke zwemvijver met een grote tuin eromheen en luie stoelen, heerlijk.
De gastheer en gastvrouw zijn zeer vriendelijk en geven een warm welkom. Bij aankomst kwam de gastheer direct naar de auto lopen en hielp met de koffers.
De hoeve is rustig gelegen ('s nachts hoor je niks!) en in de omgeving is heel veel te zien/doen/ontdekken. Vlakbij zee en vlakbij Brugge. Kortom, absoluut een aanrader!!!

Gite très bien situé entre Bruges et Ostende. Très bien équipé, la literie est bonne. Le seul bémol est l'escalier pour monter à la chambre est vraiment très raide, mais c'est du chipotage. Allez y les yeux fermés, sauf dans l'escalier lol !!

tout est très bien et rien a redire c'est parfait,nous le recommandons vivement.
la localisation de cet appartement est très bien située entre Bruges et Anvers donc plein de choses a découvrir et visiter.
les propriétaires sont super accueillant et très sympas ce qui facilite le séjour.
l'appartement est très bien agencés avec gout et classe contemporaine.
nous le recommandons à tous ceux qui veulent visiter et profiter de l'hospitalité de nos voisins belges.

Convenient & Quiet
Perfect place to stay for visiting Bruges, Ghent, Ypres and the Belgian coast. Owners could not have been more helpful. Accommodation exceedingly well equipped and clean.

Perfect Location
Perfect location to explore nearby places, yet quiet and serene and away from the hustle and bustle. We loved the location as it is near the beach which we visited a few times with our dog. Property is perfect for a family and all the amenities are nearby. Being from the UK, we needed a pet shop and a vet, both nearby. 2 supermarkets with all you need is not far at all. Would come again if we are ever in Belgium again as a family!!

Paradise personified
This is a beautiful property in the perfect location for visiting Bruges, Ghent, and the cost. The accommodation is truly first class and the hosts are extremely welcoming. The immediate surroundings are extremely peaceful and even the most stressed people would struggle to not relax here.

Perfect
Just got back from a fabulous short break at Hagepoorter. The accommodation was fantastic clean and well equipped. Tijl was most welcoming as was Leo the dog. A perfect location for exploring Belgium. Will definitely have a return visit.

The presence of many small landscape elements like hedges, pollard willows, orchard and drinking pond for the cattle invites you to nature observation (squirrels, hares, small predatory birds, bats, amphibians, butterflies, …).

How to get there
From Brussels or Ghent : Highway E-40 direction Ostend (Oostende). After Bruges (Brugge) take the exit “Jabbeke”. At the roundabout turn left towards the center Jabbeke. At the end of the street (you are in front of the city hall “gemeentehuis”, turn right. Through the center of Jabbeke drive to the Gistelsteenweg. Direction Gistel. After about 2 km turn left into Krakeelstraat. Nb. 2 is located at the beginning of the town center of Zerkegem on the left.
From Calais : Highway E-40 direction Bruges (Brugge). About 15 km before Bruges you take the exit “Jabbeke”. You arrive at the road “ Gistelsteenweg (roundabout). Turn right, direction Jabbeke/Gistel. Straight on. You will pass 2 more roundabouts and remain on the “Gistelsteenweg”, direction “Gistel”. After about 2 km turn left into Krakeelstraat. Nb. 2 is located at the beginning of the town center of Zerkegem on the left.
