My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 week stay at cosy Strathan Cottage. We found the location an excellent base for hill walking and cycling. We had easy access to the Torridon area, visited the Applecross peninsula several times enjoyed an outing to Kinlochewe and also spent a day on Skye for several walking adventures. Thank you for your kind review. You will be pleased to know that we have now provided wooden tables and chairs which can remain outside year round - for each of our cottages - so if you're lucky enough to have sunny days, you can sit outside during the day and in the evening. With water coming off the hill...

Conditions for Rental


The cottage is available for rent from 4pm on Saturday until 10am the next Saturday. We now require that the 30% deposit is paid when a reservation is made to guarantee the specific dates you have requested and to avoid any potential misunderstandings. The balance of rent is due 8 weeks before arrival.

We charge £50 per dog, as however well-behaved your dog may be, they do add considerably to the demands made on the cleaners during changeover as I'm sure you can appreciate. We shall ask for this payment to be made when the balance comes due six weeks before you arrive.

What's included

Rent covers the use of the cottage and all its content, including initial wood supply but we charge for additional.

What's not included

All breakages or damages must be paid for before departure.

The cottage must be left clean and tidy.

Attadale Holiday cottages are on the famous Inverness to Kyle line. For those not wishing to fly or travel by car an excellent option is to take the Caledonian Sleeper service from London Euston to Inverness and collect a rented car at Inverness Station. Alternatively fly to Inverness as it is only an hour and a half's drive to Attadale from the airport.
