There is a wealth of things to do and see in Donside, and nearby Royal Deeside. Walking, fishing, horse riding, cycling, mountain biking and bird watching are all available. Skiing in the winter months at the Lecht or Glenshee or at the dry slope in Alford. Castles, gardens and galleries to visit as well as the Grampian Transport Museum and Gordon Railway in Alford.

Local shop, garage and hotels are available within a 10 mile radius with further amenities in Alford, Aboyne and Ballater, which are all within 30 minutes drive.

Craigiedows Cottage has three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have double beds (one downstairs) and the third bedroom has two single beds. The cottage sleeps 6 comfortably.

The property is so homely and lovely it's like being in a home of your own especially with the log fire most of your things are provided for just need food, and it was fantastic to wake up to the beautiful mountains every morning couldn't ask for anything more also walking trails are close by which was fantastic.

Visited Craigiedows Cottage last week. Lovely remote place, perfect break for playing board games, reading in front of a log fire and cooking meals. Would def go again once the sun comes out as it rained the whole duration of our stay.

We were a group of friends looking for a weekend getaway coming up from Glasgow which took around 3 hours to get there. We were looking for an isolated place with great views so that if it rained we could look out from the conservatory and play games or venture into the the local area if it was nice. The...
