Burnlee House is a stunning period property that can be dated back to the early 1800s. Over the years it has been a home for evacuees during the war, an old people's home and a farmhouse. It was restored to it's former glory by the previous and current owners into a lovingly cared for family home. The apartment is the entire top floor of the property and has a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful and spacious living area with a cosy log stove, two bedrooms and a large bathroom. All have large windows looking out onto the beautiful hillside opposite and up to Holme Moss.<BR><BR>Close to Holmfirth centre (6 minutes walk) and only a few minutes drive from the Peak district. We could not have wished for a better place to spend a relaxing long weekend. We received a very warm welcome on arrival, personally taken to the apartment and shown around. It’s elegantly furnished with great attention to detail and had everything you could wish for. It was cosy, comfortable and the facilities were great, a real home from home...

A beautiful place to stay and a lovely host that made us very welcome. Lots of advice where to visit/eat and the fresh bread, homemade marmalade and eggs each morning were a fantastic extra. The accommodation is gorgeous with lovely quirky touches. Thank you Kate x

We booked late but what a little gem! It's a lovely, quirky apartment filled with bits and bobs that make it really homely. It's quiet and peaceful with fantastic views, it's close to town and not far from a decent fish and chip shop! We had a fantastic welcome and enjoyed our stay very much... highly recommended.

The front door to the property is around the back of the building and is accessed by walking past the garage and up the custom built steel staircase. The staircase within the building has a low ceiling at the top due to the shallow sloping of the roof. Please take care not to bump your head!
