We stayed in this cottage in early June 2017. The location is very special: direct views towards the Skelligs. The view from the living room changes minute by minute, as the sea and the sky change constantly and the light on the Skelligs changing. It is a short walk to St Finan's Bay, with its lovely beach and rolling surf. Nearby is the Skelligs Chocolate factory.
It is a short drive to Portmagee with its boats out to the Skelligs, the restaurant at The Moorings, and bridge to Valentia Island. We had great walks around Bolus Head and Bray Head on Valentia Island.
There is great wildlife too. We saw a hare several times in the cottage garden and dippers and other birds in the stream flowing by.
The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. It's great selling point is it's in a quiet, stunning location.
We'd recommend this to anyone wanting a getaway in a beautiful part of the world.
