This is an excellent gite. It is equipped really well with everything one would expect (and more) to turn it into a real home from home. Everything functioned very well during the holiday. Sue and Terry are very good hosts. They have provided a fabulous place to live and a base from which to explore a superb part of France....

We stayed at the gite for a week in September 2016. From the moment we arrived we felt totally at ease and relaxed. Our first impression when we walked across the terrace to the entrance to the gite was simply WOW! The views from the terrace are simply breathtaking and spectacular. Terry and Sue were very welcoming and attentive and...

About the neighborhood
The village of St Saturnin-les-Apt has a population of just over 2000 people, many of whom live here throughout the year, making it more vibrant out of season than some of it's more touristy neighbours. It is a true Provencal village with lots of character. The skyline is dominated by a medieval ruined chateau and the 17th Century Windmill. Narrow streets, old stone houses, water fountains and a central square. There are bars, two hotels and restaurants. An excellent Charcuterie, two Boulangeries and a 'Spar' supermarket offer a wide variety of products and there is also a chemist, Post Office, cash machine and newsagent. The local co-operative Cave can be found in nearby Apt where you can buy your wine and associated gifts.
