Smashing
Had another smashing week at Broadstairs and Score Cottage. Weather was amazing. Explored lots of places and walked on beach at Ramsgate. Didn't want to leave.

Worst stay ever please do not visit.
This property is a disgrace, its dirty, there was a broken window, the owner made no attempt to get in touch. Toilet seat is broken, no fan, light streams in from early morning. Bedding smelt stale and of animals. Had to vacate early, do not i repeat not waste your money.

Perfect holiday
This is my second visit and what a change! I didn't mind the few previous shortcomings as the location and garden are amazing (not to mention the price) but now the bungalow has been tidied up plus new sofas I can't find anything negative to say anyway The garden is absolutely lovely and a real haven for wildlife and my dog loved laying out there when it was hot Its an easy walk into Broadstairs for shopping etc and the road has street parking The area is very quiet and peaceful Will definitely be returning!

Well, was my first stay with Jill and her beautiful so well behaved dog Tulip. Loved Score Cottage, the quirky feel and history, obviously was a much loved home. Only criticisms, toilet seat needs adjusting and new blinds in bedrooms and lounge. Oh and hot water pressure not great but sort of acceptable. Lovely location and a joy to have garden. Would definitely return.

Quirky little bungalow
We loved our stay in this sweet little place. The outside could do with a lick of paint but it sort 9f adds to the charm. The inside is a lovely homely feel and furnished very quirky. The main bedroom is very comfy has a memory foam mattress that you won't want to leave. The front room is cosy and the kitchen has everything you need for a stay. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and the walk back is slightly uphill so may be a problem for anyone with mobility issues (local taxi is £4). The garden is wild but beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out here in the sunshine. The only downside is that the cleaning was a bit lacklustre but that could be because we arrived earlier than the scheduled arrival time. We loved staying here and would definitely stay again in a heartbeat.

Score Cottage Broadstairs
Thank you for the chance to give a review, as my visit to this cottage I was ABSOLUTELY discussed with the state of it photos were 8 years old fake information of the cottage broke all health and safety rule broken glass in garden leak in the toilet, shower no head on it stunk of damp musk, cold quilt cover old and used. No earthing to sockets and cobwebs everywhere, very drafts, garden overgrown and unkempt, old rusty air raid shelter it was a discussing time warp cottage should have been condemned. I complained to Trust apilot and the owner Dianne and she arranged through truster pilot for a refund. My whole holiday was completely ruined and would like to be compensated for all the stress and unhappiness this cottage caused. This cottage should be removed from your Lettings list to save you any further embarrassment and cost to you. I would loved to hear about the outcome of your actions. Regards Sylvia Heritage If you require photos of this Score Cottage please let me know as there on my husbands phone.

Great location and dog friendly
Location excellent. Accommodation awful. I like the quirkiness but the cleanliness takes a lot to be desired. Cobwebs everywhere and just so dirty. We had to go buy a kettle and toaster as the one in the cottage was disgusting. We wouldn’t even use the cutlery, thankfully we had our own and crockery as we in the process of moving home. If we was their for a holiday we would not have stayed. Windows in one of the bedrooms don’t close. This was reported over 2 years ago and still not been sorted. The photos on line are not what you get when you get there. The sofa bed was covered in pet hair and very uncomfortable. The other so called sofa will collapse any minute as legs so wobbly. Plug sockets in one of the bedrooms are attached with tape. I could go on. Definitely need a different cleaner. If all the problems with the cottage were sorted it would be a lovely quirky place to stay, but until then it’s a definite no no. I have so many photos to support all this.

We stayed between Xmas and new year and the location is fantastic The bungalow has everything you need and is really interesting- lots of fascinating bits and pieces It’s not pristine which,to be honest, is what you want if you have a dog 😉 and want to relax The garden is secure and dog heaven- lots of sniffing! Will definitely return ❤️

Quirky Cottage, well located
We stayed 4 nights at score cottage (2 adults, 3 teenagers and a dog) and had a great time. The cottage is lovely with many original features, painted floorboards and quirky additions. The 2 double bedrooms are roomy and the main bedroom mattress is a sink into it memory foam. The occupancy is for 5 but the 5th person is on a sofa bed in the living room that has seen better days. The cottage has an arty style with many creative carpentry solutions in the cottage style kitchen and period style bathroom. The garden is mature and secluded (if a little overgrown). The unheated lean to conservatory dining area is a lovely place to have breakfast in the morning sun. Great location for the beach, restaurants and town. We had a gorgeous fish and chips in the Mermaid which has a very good choice of fish and a meal in Sardinia, Italian restaurant which had great food and service. A well priced and located cottage which would be most suitable for a family of 4 with slightly older children or adults.

About the neighborhood
Broadstairs has seven beautiful sand-filled beaches. Viking Bay is the town's main beach. Enjoy children's rides in 'Kiddies corner', colourful beach huts and watch the boats bob in the harbour as you walk along the cliff top. Learn to surf at Joss Bay or for nature, marvel in the purity of the water as you play in the rock pools in Botany and Stone Bay. Broadstairs is brim-full of nostalgic, old-world, seaside charm. Sandy bays meet surf schools. Fishermen's cottages meet Charles Dickens connections. Retro ice-cream parlours meet chic shops. Relaxed and unspoilt, this is the perfect place for chilled-out, family-friendly fun. Broadstairs has a plethora of fantastic cafes, restaurants and bars. The World famous 1950's Morrellis ice-cream parlour probably serves the best ice-cream in the word! The historic High Street, boasts a selection of charming independent shops. Every year Broadstairs hosts many charming events such as Folk week, the water gala, food festivals and Dickens week.
