Two traditional stone cottages set in a private walled garden with a private pool. In the historic village of Kayakoy (ghost town). Stunning location with amazing views across the valley. Easy access to the Blue Lagoon resort of Oludinez. 45 minutes from the Airport of Dalaman. Extremely welcoming private cottages with all the modern facilities but in a traditional Turkish style home. Stunning location with amazing views across the valley. Easy access to the Blue Lagoon resort of Oludinez. 45 minutes from the Airport of Dalaman. Extremely welcoming private cottages with all the modern facilities but in a traditional Turkish style home. The first cottage The Smoke House has a large double bedroom with double doors leading out to the garden area with a private sitting area covered with a grape vine, there are lemon trees next to this and mandarin trees. Leading for the bedroom up to the Living area is a small corridor with the family bathroom with a large shower area and toilet. Up from the bathroom is a door leading into the main living area. This is a very large room which has an open workable fireplace with extensive bookshelves full of books and two day beds. The day beds are perfect for using as extra guest beds or just sitting on and relaxing. There is then a large open arched doorway which can be closed to the kitchen area. The kitchen has a gas cooker with electric oven, a fridge freezer and all the facilities to make your own food. There is a small dining area in the kitchen and then a larger table just outside the kitchen. Outside of The Smoke House going up small stone steps this leads to the pool area which is private and has amazing views to the Valley of the Ghost Town and the Village. The pool area has sun beds and a seating area perfect for relaxing. To the left of the entrance gate is The smaller of the cottages The Stables, this Cottage has a very large double bedroom which has an open fireplace, next to this is the family bathroom beautifully tiled. There is a galley kitchen with a fridge/freezer and a gas cooker. To the right of the kitchen is a small living area with a dining table and a seating area and open fireplace. There is a day bed in this area which can be used as second bedroom. The outside seating area is beautiful and amazing views to the Valley and the historic Ghost Town. The whole property can be let as a whole or the cottages can be let separately. This is the perfect place to relax and wind down. Good for families or a group of adults. I purposefully do not have TV's in the property as the cottages are aimed at those that wish to seek escape and relaxation away from the madness of normal life. The resort of Oludinez is 10 minutes drive from the Village of Kayakoy. The beaches are beautiful and safe to swim in. There are great daily boat trips from the local beaches which are extremely reasonable. Also near to the Village and a boat trip away is the stunning Butterfly Valley. This is a very protected beautiful valley and a must to go and see if you seek tranquility. A lot of the boat trips are quite noisy with loud music, either you can just enter into the party atmosphere and have a great day dancing and eating fresh food cooked for you on the boats or seek a quieter boat and request one that does not play loud music. The nearest large harbour town is Fethiye. It is best to get your supermarket shopping from here as a better choice and not holiday maker prices. There are some lovely restaurants on the harbour with great fresh fish on offer. In the holiday resort of Oludinez are some fantastic jewellery shops and also look for the small kebab outlets for a great Turkish kebab. Oludinez is great for people watching and there are some lovely restaurants on the sea front. Oludinez is well known for paragliding. Tourists can pay and have a go at this and fly Tandom. Please make sure you check your insurance before you do this though. On the beach front of Oludinez are the offices to book this and they will give you insurance, the men that take you up and fly you are very experienced and you can be very assured in their expertise. Over the year they have large paragliding events where you can lie on the beach and watch the gliders doing acrobats above your heads. The resort of Oludinez is well known as The Blue Lagoon and stunning. The water is a beautiful blue colour and try clear and inviting. There a many restaurants in Oludiez and Kayakoy and all provide amazing food. Please check prices before your order. Turkey is fantastic all year round. During the winter months the Village is far quieter but also available for eating out and great for walking holidays. The Village is surrounded by Forests and there are fantastic walks to the coast. You can also walk among the ruins of The Ghost Town. In the Village you can hire horses to rider, or a camel for those that are more adventurous, along with quad bikes. I have travelled extensively through Turkey and spend a lot of time there. I cannot recommend this area enough it is just beautiful and has everything for everyone. If you have any questions about the cottages or the area please contact me. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 8320737375More

Interaction with guests
Kayakoy Village is an Historical village. There are many walks from the Cottages. The Village is easily acceptable on foot, the main part of the village is a ten minute walk from the Cottages here you will find a selection of restaurants offering local Turkish food. There also are some bars. The village is quiet and relaxing where you really do transport back in time, there are goats and geese that walk around the village. The pace of life is slow here and all the villagers are very friendly and welcoming. If you seek a noisier night out 5 minutes drive away from the Village is the main holiday resort of Hisarinou. There are taxi points from the Village where you just press the yellow button and a cab will come to collect you.

How to get there
The transfer from Dalaman Airport is approximately 45minutes. It is better to hire a car when in the Village which can be picked up from the Airport. The cost of hire of a 5 seater car is approx £60-£80 a week. You can get a taxi from the Airport which is on average £35 and having a car is not compulsory as there are taxis available all hours and a Dolmus bus stop opposite the cottages when the mini buses come every 30 minutes during the holiday season. There are also regular buses to the nearest beach Gimla. If needed I can arrange for private transfers from the airport for guests.
