The property is situated just above the beach of Skaloma which is approx. 2 mins drive away. At the beach, there are a couple of tavernas as well as beach-bars. The fishing village of Monastiraki with its excellent fish taverna right on the sea is only about 5 mins drive away. The main town of the area is Nafpaktos, which is a Venetian town with a medieval fort and ancient harbour with plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops lining the quayside. Nafpaktos is just 10 mins away by car.

The lemon trees and olive trees and its fruits have always been present in history of the Mediterranean in everyday life.
Nowadays the oil is considered one of the basic elements of the famous Mediterranean diet, that satisfies both the pleasures of the palate and love for a healthy and balanced feeding.
Oil production is the principle activity of the area. We have been cultivating Olive trees for generations, and today we start a little project to grow up greens and fruits without using chemical matters only for our guests: tomatoes, salad, basilic, beans, onions and many others are the solid base of our cuisine.
Our oil still keeps the original taste, because it is produced according to an old tradition.
They are cultivated without using anti-parasitic or chemical fertilizers, so that the olives are guaranteed as absolutely genuine.
The harvest is hand-made with a slow and expensive technique that is how ever necessary in order to warrant the proper ripening of the fruits.
Just milled oil appears opaque, dense and has an intense and absolutely unmistakable aroma. With time passing the heaviest particles make a sediment, leaving so to the oil the transparency we usually see.
Our oil cannot be found in shops or supermarkets. You can only buy it directly from the producer in small bottles.
Traditional kitchen is also tasteful and interesting in the area.
Our speciality includes octopus with vinegar, fish soup (kakavia) , macaroni pie, cheese pie, vegetables pie and pumpkin pie.

Skaloma is a charming small village on the northern coast of the Corinthian Gulf 15 km east of the town of Nafpaktos. Easily accessible by car; take one of the numerous ferries Italy-Patras... From there another 30 min drive and passing the new bridge of RION-ANTIRION you arrive to Skaloma. Alternatively you can fly Athens and rent a car or take the bus (220km). The nearest town of Nafpaktos is known for its beautiful historical port and castle at 300 m high giving a superb view on the Gulf.
