This view is minutes on foot away from the chalet, looking across to Mont de Grange and Abondance
It is an easy walk up to the Swiss border and tremendous views over the Valais and the Dents du Midi
Le Yeti 6 barbecue area and entrance to the private parking area, a lovely spot
Additional parking by the stream next to the chalet - from here walks lead up into the mountains

Situated in Petit Chatel, which is the sunniest and quietest part of Chatel, close to the Barbossine ski lift and close to free shuttle buses around the resort, this one bedroom apartment has a double bedroom, bunk beds, living room with kitchenette and dining table, balcony, bathroom with shower/bath, separate WC, electric radiator heating, ski locker, and private parking.

The apartment is located on the second floor and there is a lift and stairs for access. The apartment faces due East for morning sunshine, and cooler summer afternoons, with views over towards Super Chatel.

We spent 10 days in this well equiped apartment, 4 people... nice flat, beautiful environment and one of the friendliest owners out there. 100% satisfied !👍 3 downhill bikes, 9 nights without any problem stored in the storage room downstairs. Excellent ! Really recommended for bikers and everyone !!!

Just back from an excellent stay at this apartment. The flat is extremely well equipped - the owner has thought of everything from expresso coffee machines to a handy range of dvds for wet evenings plus lots of info on walks in the area. It was a perfect base for mountain biking and walking for our family - 2 adults...

We have just come back from a lovely time In Chatel stay in this apartment. The apartment is in a lovely location, had plenty of room for us (2 adults and 1 child). The bus stop is around the corner and run every 10-15 mins. We would definitely consider Chatel again and staying at this apartment. Andrew was very helpful...

A self catered apartment of 28m2 which sleeps 2-6 people and comprises:


The Lounge has an east facing balcony, which catches the early-morning sunshine and looks out towards the pistes at Super Chatel.

In the brand new (October 2015) kitchen area there is a dishwasher, sink, numerous cupboards, two hot plates, a fridge, a combi oven / microwave / grill, kettle, toaster, fondue set, cafetiere. There is an iron and ironing board.

There are a table and six chairs, a sofabed, footstool, more cupboards and drawers, with plenty of crockery, cutlery and utensils. For entertainment there is a new LED 32' TV, DVD player, hi-fi set with radio, MP3, iPhone and iPod dock, and CD player, maps and books, CDs, and DVDs in English and French. Free 4G wifi.

About the neighborhood
Chatel is the most Swiss of the French mountain resorts, with beautiful mountain chalets and farms typical of the Abondance valley.

It is as lively as you want it to be - in the village are all the amenities one could wish for, including banks, restaurants, Intermarche supermarket, swimming pools, tennis courts, mountain bike and walking trails, winter ski lifts, summer chair lifts, nightclubs, bars, doctors and dentists, cinemas, bowling, free shuttle buses and all kinds of gift and sports shops.

However the apartment is located in Petit Chatel, 1.5kms outside the centre and a quick free bus ride into the centre. Petit Chatel is the sunniest part of Chatel - much of the resort becomes shaded in the winter afternoons, but the sun carries on all day in Petit Chatel which is a bonus. It...

AIR : the quickest way to get to Chatel is from Geneva Airport, which is served by a wide variety of budget airlines from all over Europe. Once at Geneva Airport, you have a choice of car hire, train or shuttle to get to Chatel which is approximately 1 1/2 hours away.

CAR : Chatel is easily reached by autoroute from all over Europe. If coming from the UK or Northern France, the turning for Annemasse should be taken on the A40, and follow the southern side of Lake Geneva to Thonon where Chatel is signposted (Val d'Abondance or Chatel)
If coming from Germany, Austria or Switzerland, it is a good idea to aim for the northern side of Lake Geneva, Montreux and then Aigle. From Aigle it is a short climb to Morgins and then Chatel.
