Cnocachanach Cottage is a recently refurbished traditional stone cottage situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty (Knapdale) on the west coast of Scotland. It's located within the beautiful Ardpatrick Estate, with numerous walks starting right at the front door. Since it sits on a single-track no through-road, there's almost no traffic around making it an incredibly peaceful location. The village of Tarbert (just North of Kintyre), where there are shops, good restaurants, art galleries and sailing facilities, is just 15km away. The award-winning Kilberry Inn is just 10 minutes drive away. Finished to a high standard, Cnocachanach Cottage provides one double bedroom (with en-suite) and an open-plan kitchen and living area with a wood burning stove....Cnocachanach Cottage is a recently refurbished traditional stone cottage situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty (Knapdale) on the west coast of Scotland. Great place to get away. Down a very quiet track, pitch dark and silent by night. The wood burner warms the place up brilliantly for a very cosy getaway. Very close to the water and there's even a local standing stone. My personal favourite part...More

The cottage is in a nice location, very close to the sea, with walks and scenery. Other cottages nearby were unoccupied when we were there, so very quiet. Everything was tidy and as advertised. The cottage is a little on the small side, but ok...More

We last stayed here over 30 years ago and were delighted to find that this cottage is back on the holiday rental market. This little cottage has been thoughtfully restored and is comfortable and cosy. However, it is the surroundings that make the stay exceptional....More

How to get there
If travelling from Central Scotland there are two main options - drive around the sea lochs via Loch Lomond or take a couple of ferry hops from Gourock (via Dunoon and Portavadie). Each route is equally beautiful and takes about the same time (approx 2.5 hours from Glasgow).
