Greatest places make sweetest souvenirs!
Coming from Paris, we were so pleased to go back to Gaiole for a week, our favorite tuscan village. It was our first time in Casacorvo Maggiore, and what a great experience. Getting in, our first impression was: it's huge, and cool. The air conditioners realy do the job, and made us feel quickly cumfortable. Then after, we found it so nice inside. It is truly lovely. Our kids felt that happy they would take it as a home. Everything is a the right place, and well choosed. The patio and the terrace make you want to eat there each time. Outside, there are covered parking places, the biggest pool i ever used, a big fitness room, washing machines, games for kids etc...and kind people who smile at you as they're enjoying their hollidays the same as you.
The village is really near, and you can easily reach such spot towns as Sienna, San Giminiano, Voltera, Pienza, Firenze. Well the pictures go back in my mind each day since we went back to France. We want to thank Loredana who was always aware about our needs while we stayed in Casacorvo Maggiore. But we have a special thank to Philip, the owner: "Phil, you're not a common person, and we 'll never forget it. We know you're a Tuscany lover, and so are we thanks to people like you.
With much respect from our hearts.
Martijn.

The perfect Tuscan holiday
We stayed in Casacorvo Maggiore for ten days at the end of July and found it to be the ideal base for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery and also for exploring Tuscany. From the initial process of booking our stay right down to help and advice during our visit, Philip, the owner, could not have been more accommodating. The property itself really is exquisite and has everything a family could need, right down to board games for the kids, a very well stocked bookshelf, maps and travel guides and comprehensive information on all local amenities.Coming from Ireland, we aren't used to heat and were a little apprehensive that we might not be able to sleep but we needn't have worried. The air conditioning was amazing! The apartment is spotlessly clean and very well maintained with a large garden to the rear and a charming little patio at the front which meant we enjoyed most of our meals outside. The view of the countryside is spectacular. The complex has a laundry room, gym and a really impressive pool area, all free for guests to use. The village is just a few minutes walk so it would have been quite possible to relax for the duration of our visit and stay local but we had wonderful day trips to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Certaldo and Radda in Chianti. Castello di Brolio is only minutes away by car and really is a 'must' during any visit to the region. Overall, I really can't fault the place and wouldn't want to! We hope to return next year as a larger group and also rent the smaller apartment downstairs which can be combined with Maggiore to give more living space.

Superb
It's exactly as it says on the tin. The property is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Home from home comforts such as quality mattresses and bedding made it particularly welcoming for us. The information supplied by the owner was thorough and detailed helping to make our stay work smoothly. The amenities were excellent. The pool was always clean and well looked after. The staff looking after the property were helpful and friendly. We loved being close to Sienna, with only a 30 minute drive we were able to visit 3 times during our stay. The town of Gaiole is easy to walk to and has a good variety of eating places. A good place to sit and savour a coffee watching the world go by!

Superb apartment in a lovely location
Casacorvo Maggiore is a superb apartment; very well equipped and comfortably furnished. There's a great selection of games, DVDs and novels, and plenty of maps, guidebooks and helpful information on things to see and do in the area.
The beautiful private garden gets the sun all day long, and has gorgeous views over the village and hills beyond.
The. village itself is well supplied with places to eat and drink, whether it's a glass of the local Chianti Classico, excellent takeaway pizza, coffee and pastries or a four course meal.
I can't recommend Casacorvo and Gaiole highly enough - we'll be back!

Great townhouse in Gaiole in Chianti
Casacorvo Maggiore provides great accommodation for a group or family. The townhouse is well equipped and provides a lovely view over the town and the surrounding countryside. Our group stayed here while participating in L'Eroica the historic bike race on the gravel roads of Tuscany It's fair to say we had the best and most envied accommodation just moments from the race and the accompanying festival of bikes, food and wine that go along with it. Dealing with the owner was always a pleasure and the accommodation certainly enhanced our stay in Gaiole.

Beautifully appointed and well located
Set within easy reach of many vineyards, beautiful Siena and only 50 minutes from Florence, my friends and I found the house to be perfectly equipped and finished to a high standard (even has an espresso maker).
The house was convenient for local cafes, restaurants and village shops as well as with 2 glorious balconies for some al fresco dining at home.
As well as being clean, having underground parking (no cars to spoil), it also had a good sized and clean pool, which shared the views of the rural Italian landscape that can be seen from the front bedroom and lounge area.
Thank you to the owners too, who kindly left details of local tours, attractions and some great recommendations for eateries and, importantly, where to sample some of the local Chianti - bottled bliss.
Couldn't recommend more; enjoy!

Perfect and plaisant location to explore Tuscany
We were 4 people staying in this very nice apartment : comfortable, clean, modern, well equipped. We loved the location. I never heard of Gaiole before, but it was a nice discovery. Quiet village, but big enough to go out for drink, lunch or dinner or buy some food. Very friendly place and very good location to visit the most important cities around : San Gimigniano, Sienna, Arezzo, Firenze.
Good recommendations also in the apartment for hikes around Gaiole. Very lovely villages in this area. We had the most enjoyable time, despite the weather which was not perfect. The swimming pool has a good size also.
I would love to go back.

Home away from home
My son was getting married at capannelle winery which was very close. The apartment slept 6 of us easily. There were also sofa beds in the lounge, but not much privacy if they were used. The apartment had everything you could possibly need. Every drawer had games, books, etc. The Borgo complex is beautiful, and this apartment is just steps from the pool. Gaiole village, which was a short walk was charming, lots of small shops and cafe's. 2 cappucino's plus 2 lovely fresh croissants was only 5 euros ... Amazing. The apartment has a lovely balcony with a view over the Tuscan hills. There is also a courtyard where you can sunbathe, play boules, etc. I hope we are able to return another time with more time to spend exploring the region. Capannelle was a wonderful wedding venue, they also have wine tasting.

Excellent location
We went back to Casacorvo Maggiore again this year for 2 weeks.
The villa was excellent and rooms were clean and airy. I must say Casacorvo Maggiore is beautiful and the people in the other villas were lovely to talk to you.
The area is quiet and relaxing for everybody.

Apartment ideally situated for small town of Gaiole. There is a steep climb up to the apartment and it is up a flight of stairs. Very well equipped kitchen. Apartment finished to a high quality. Well situated for Chianti region.
