To start off with, Heena was great in helping us make all the arrangements for our weekend getaway with our buddies from college. We bugged her with a million requests and yet she was so accommodating - Thank you Heena! :)
The villa is truly luxury at it's best! You couldn't ask for a better view. The team at Cinnamon house makes sure everything is on point always. The food was super yummy as well. We enjoyed every part of this amazing house from the infinity pool to the rooftop and the many lounge areas. Just wished we stayed longer!

A luxury villa with the best view ever!!!!!
Simply one of the best villas in Sri Lanka. With the best view, well kept rooms and the best service. Food was really tasty and the BBQ was cooked to perfection.
The team at Cinnamon House really makes every effort to make your stay memorable!

Luxury that’s out of this world
For those with high expectations and experience of various places across the world, then Cinnamon House will quench your thirst for a high-end, luxurious holiday.
We have stayed in a similar house (designed by the same architect) in Lamu in Kenya but this house won hands down with its ideal location and amazing staff. It’s basically your own boutique hotel, right on the doorstep of a private beach which you can surf from, or 10 minutes in a tuk tuk from main Weligama beach where easier surf is and more eating places.
The staff did absolutely everything for us when we asked. They did our food shopping, ordered tuk tuks and taxis, kept the house immaculate, prepared our bedrooms every morning and night and generally made sure that we had the most wonderful holiday. Jianyha is the main man running the house and he was wonderful. Calm and in control, friendly with a very high level of professionalism. The chef prepared us the most delicious foods from local curries to even the best spag bol the kids had ever had!
There were 8 of us and the villa was huge and spacious so no one ever felt cramped. In fact it’s easy to lose yourself in the villa.
The pool area is designed as it’s shaded most of the day which was perfect in the searing heat and the sea breeze cools everything done.
Little things that made all the difference to us was: comfy beds with great pillows, beds prepared at night with a different display of flowers or towel design every night, amazing views, air con, outstanding staff, meals when we wanted.
But to sum it up, Heena and the house staff made the stay at this wonderful and unique place, like no other holiday.
I would impress upon anyone to choose this villa and this location.
It really was out of this world.

As unique as Sri Lankan cinnamon
A beautiful tropical villa dressed up with subtle luxurious vignettes that add to the exotic location, the property exudes the warm hospitality that's truly Sri Lankan due to an amazing foursome who give you a holiday to remember. Led by Jayantha and supported by Amith and Dayawansa, the young men in charge of the property always went that extra mile. And in the F&B department, Chef Mahesh just excelled - whether it was his Sri Lankan crab curry or the multi-hued platter of stringhoppers flavoured with spinach (green), beetroot (red) and carrot (orange) to a pork and pineapple curry that was simply melt in the mouth. Each meal was a tapestry designed to delight the senses. The sea, in its emerald beauty beckons of an evening although some of us did live vicariously watching the surfers enjoying the waves from dawn till twilight. If I were to nitpick, I would say the two bedrooms upstairs with its single beds are a tad uncomfortable due to its limited length, breadth and being rather high off the ground. Even pushing them together does not help despite a person being of average height.

Beautiful weekend with friends in the most beautiful villa.
This is a villa that is designed for a convivial group trip. 5 couples, all of whom are long standing friends living in different parts of the world, gathered here for reunion. It is a stunning place for such a purpose....beautiful rooftop for sundowners, lovely commen spaces for random gatherings and conversations, a lovely outdoor patio overlooking the bay for meals....plus beautiful rooms that are large and airy that afford privacy when required....lovely meals, great service and all round awesomeness...we will be back!

Unforgettable stay
A beautifully designed house with lots of space for everyone. The stunning ocean views combined with boutique architecture creates a truely luxurious atmosphere.
We stayed with a group of friends and late teen to adult children. The bedrooms are spread over 2 levels and the sound of the waves lull you to sleep.
The food is amazing. We had a big spread of Sri Lankan / western food for breakfast which was delicious, and an amazing seafood BBQ for dinner. The staff are always ready to help with a smile.
Thank you so much for the wonderful stay at Cinnamon House. We will be back.

Unbelievable
The most beautiful house in the most beautiful place. Just arrived and spent a day here. Amazing food cooked however you want, welcoming staff, just sitting out on the balcony listening to the sea crashing on the beach.

Breathtaking and Magical
The stunning setting with its breathtaking views, and the simple but luxurious interior design make this an oasis vacation spot not to be missed. The architecture and style has strong, beautiful accents from Lamu island in Kenya where we spent many magical vacations like the one at Cinnamon House. Wide open spaces, and the infinity pool with its views of the beaches, combined with the many decks for sundowners, are just one of the many features. The food was delicious with Sri Lankan and international cuisine combined with attentive service. A special place not to miss while visiting or staying in Sri Lanka.

BIT OF PARADISE
It was one of our much looked forward to girls trips. we stayed for two days. the warm welcome , amazing food, each floor of the villa was a new discovery especially dinning on the terrace, drinks on the roof top with stunning view, walk down the road to the beautiful beach and the sea where we spent hours catching up. will definitely go there again.

Mesmerizing!!!
We stayed here for 4 days in April to celebrate our 5th Anniversary, and I'd say it was as good (dare I say better) as our honeymoon. The villa is just perfect!!! Everything is so tastefully done, so earthy and yet so classy. To top it all, the pool and the terrace lounge is where we spent most of our time at the villa. The small and simple details is what impressed me the most, like the hammock and the sitting area on the terrace, where we spent one of the evening just listening to music, enjoying the ocean breeze and the rains on the rooftop. It was so relaxing, I am short of words. And the hospitality is outstanding, the staff goes out of their way to arrange whatever you need, from food to transport etc. And their food is unbelievable, I have not had such good food in my entire trip. Rather we were so spoilt and pampered here that other places for rest of our trip was no match.
All in all, the villa, the view, the weather, and the hospitality made it the most memorable trip of our lifetime. We will definitely visit agian :)
