This is tropical Eden at its best…modern luxury amidst lush jungle countryside. The villa is slightly elevated allowing those within to gaze across the canopy of surrounding coconut palms and to enjoy the cooler breeze drifting off the ocean. The surf break at Welligama is less than 3 minutes away by tuk tuk and is amongst the best for all standards, with lessons available.
The villa complex is made up of large open plan pavilions. The three king size bedroom pavilions are set in private walled gardens with indoor/ outdoor bathing facilities and large outdoor terraces. The main living pavilion has floor to ceiling bi-fold doors and bi fold windows that open onto tropical landscaped gardens and alarge decked pool area with a thatched pergola (ambalamba) perfect for just relaxing or watchi...

Amazing 10 days in Kumara Villas
We were a family of 7 incuding one child. We stayed at Kumara Villas for an amazing 10 days. Everything at the Kumara was amazing. We really appreciated Kelum and the rest of the staff's hard work and their tireless efforts to make our stay so memorable. My grandson Amru had his 5th Bday at Kumara and Kelum took every care to make it Amru's best bday. He loved it.

Perfect perfect place
We loved Kumara from the moment we were greeted by their delightful team of staff. They could not have done enough for us - even lighting the way back to our villa by torchlight.
Food was just delicious and so beautifully served everyday. Breakfast was a treat. They also went out of their way to look after our little granddaughter.
The pool is so lovely - my only issue is that I have MS and it was not the easiest pool to get out of.
I would definitely return in a heartbeat and so would all my family.

Fantastic Luxury Villa
The Villa was excellent and better in person that in the pictures. The landscaping and design feels like your own mini resort. The staff along with Kulum were very helpful.
Will definitely be back to Kumara.

The perfect escape!
Kumara is magical: it is tranquil and luxurious, and yet very close tot the beach and Weligama town. Kelum and the team looked after us so well, from everything to the amazing Sri Lankan meals to helping us with a fireworks display for New Year's Eve, We would go back in a second!

Maximum relaxation in the jungle
Our first time saying in a villa that wasn’t ‘beach side’ and it was utterly wonderful.
The house is set amongst beautiful gardens, in the jungle. So it feels very seculed; a perfect little spot of calmness surrounded by palm trees, the noise of birds and monkeys.
The house is thoughtfully laid out with three huge separate suites (almost like mini villas themselves).
We stayed in one with our 2yo baby and it was great- loads of space and we could tuck her cot round the corner in the dressing area so it almost felt like a separate room. And our baby monitor managed to bridge the distance from room to house, so we could put baby to bed in the bedroom and have dinner and evenings in the main house.
The villa is perfectly laid out, with a great pool for swimming and a very smart idea: a separate sunken kitchen in the main living area so you can help yourself to things from the fridge/make tea etc whenever you want. Perfect for easy access to cold beers/baby food whatever your needs. Although we were there with a baby it would definitely make for an excellent place to go with mates.
The food cooked by Kelum and “the ladies” was excellent- delicious home cooked Sri Lankan curries, and we had a lot of afternoon rotis.
It’s an enjoyable 10 min journey by tuk-tuk to Weligama and Mirissa Beach.
We had a fantastic time here. Despite being in the jungle, and mornings spent watching a monkey family travel through the trees with their new babies, we felt utterly at home almost instantly.

Most magical stay!
We spent 8 nights at the villa celebrating Christmas and was blown away by how beautiful and thought through every piece of this place is.
The staff has spoiled us in every possible way, food is amazing, garden beautiful and we have had every help you can possibly imagine to tailor activities fit for us and according to our wishes. (Bike tour, private whale watching, spice gardens, surfing, yoga & massage)
An extra thank you for helping make Christmas special for our kids by putting in a Christmas tree, arranging a marvelous dinner with the biggest fresh fish and crab we ever had, cutting a Christmas tree in the lawn(!) and staff wearing Christmas sweaters.
We have never been so spoiled and came home feeling fulfilled and rested.
Sri Lanka is a magical place but this Villa is something special. THANK YOU!

Perfect Luxury Holiday
Food was incredible. Villa, pool and staff were all excellent. Luxury accommodations with privacy. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect relaxing holiday.

Villa superbe, tres spacieuse ! Atmosphère zen et jardin magnifique. Finitions de grande qualité pour un tel pays.
De plus le personnel est discret et très professionnel.
Possibilité de repas sur place à prix défiant toute concurrence... Vraiment un sans faute ! Prix très raisonnable

Stop thinking about it - book it now- you won't regret it!
Where to start...
This villa absolutely blew us away, and even though its looks incredible in the pictures, they don't do it justice!
There are 3 separate self contained villas within the property, but no need to fight over the rooms, as each one is amazing! We actually stayed here on our honeymoon, so we had the choice of all three.
However, our favourite place was the pool pavillion, where the huge private pool and kitchen is located. The pool, like the rest of the property, is set in a stunning location and is surrounded by trees, so you have unlimited privacy, and the treat of seeing monkeys swinging past through the trees.
No need to use the kitchen in the pool pavillion however, as there are excellent chefs in the villa, and the food was incredible and charged at local costs for the goods only, which works out at incredible value for money, especially considering the quality.
Kelum and the team were amazing, and couldn't do more to make us comfortable, and helped us get anywhere we needed. Kelum and the owner also helped my wife arrange a surprise romantic meal for me.
We experienced the occasional power cut, although I understand that this was a Sri Lanka problem and not the Villa. However, Kelum and the team were quick to get some torches etc to us while getting the generator started, and while waiting we were able to see fireflies dancing in the trees opposite.
This is by far the most luxurious place we have stayed, and it was an experience staying here on its own. It was definitely worth the money, and we'd stay again in a heart beat.
Stop thinking about it - book it now- you won't regret it!
