“The Tree House is the perfect counterweight to my hectic life in the city. I’ll be back again.”

So many of our guests comment on the quiet and serenity they find at the Tree House. The Tree House is rustically elegant; from the massive granite fireplace and incense-cedar tree that are the centerpoints of the house, to the well-appointed bedrooms, bathrooms and full amenity, gourmet kitchen. It is the only house on the 25 acre property which is situated on the rim of the Merced River Canyon.

The Tree House is a 1700 square foot, three bedroom, two bath home that is just the place for families and friends looking for a unique vacation home with many special touches. Each bedroom has views of the majestic, old-growth oaks that forest the property. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and a sliding door that opens to the wrapar...

My wife and I took our family of 7 (all adults 24 and older) to visit Yosemite National Park for the first time. My son found the Tree House online and it worked out great for our family. This 3-bedroom house was clean and nicely decorated. It is situated on a nice, somewhat secluded property with good views. There is...

Memorial Day stay. First off, the views are amazing and the drive in from LA wasn't bad, even having arrived well after dark. That said, coming in at night set us up for an evening of stargazing on a level that I have never before experienced in my life. Not being able to see the full beauty of the property,...

About the neighborhood
The house is in the quaint mountain community of Midpines, close to Yosemite and Highway 140 (the scenic, all-weather highway to Yosemite). The Tree House is tucked in the center of the twenty-five private acres of Wild Oak Farm. It is the only home on the property. Located at 2,800 feet in elevation, Wild Oak Farm gets occasional snow in the winter and offers great hills for sledding!

Midpines is an ideal base for outdoor recreation. A short walk (bike, drive, or ride) up the road brings you to the Sierra National Forest Boundary. Most of the surrounding area is pristine Sierra National Forest or Bureau of Land Management land, with hiking trails and unpaved roads to explore. The Merced River is less than five minutes away and provides rafting (in the spring), swimming (from late Sprin...
