With historic Waikiki Beach just a half block from the hotel lobby, and 500 acre Kapiolani Park just across the street. The Bird Cage at the Waikiki Grand is the perfect home base for your Hawaiian vacation. The studio has undergone a major renovation with it's original windows replaced with double paned sliding glass windows that greatly minimize the urban sounds of Waikiki, and the interior and furnishings have been updated and refreshed. The studio is breezy and bright, with clear views of the Koolau Mountains, and occasional island rainbows. The studio is breezy and bright, with clear views of the Koolau Mountains, and occasional island rainbows. All that Waikiki has to offer is a short walk away, whether it’s enjoying the blue Pacific Ocean, or all the shopping and dining options you can imagine. The Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, Royal Hawaiian Bandstand, tennis courts, soccer fields, archery ranges, weekend art shows and the city's Sunset on the Beach concerts and movies are all at your doorstep. If you just want to stay put, there is an expansive sundeck on top of the hotel which provides a bird's eye view of Diamond Head while lounging and relaxing, or having an alfresco meal or drink. In the evenings, no one else in Waikiki has a better view of the sunset. The Bird Cage is at the end of Waikiki. Kapahulu Avenue provides easy access to the freeway, so when you decide to explore the rest of Oahu, you avoid all the traffic in the heart of Waikiki. Please note this is a studio condo and not suitable for more than two people. We also have another studio in the same building called the Red Ginger (2100411) located on the 9th floor. A tidy unit within walking distance of main shops and a hop over the road to the beach or zoo. Room for two to spread out, basic cooking facilities and comfy bed. Quiet. Not good light for dinning at the table though.

About the neighborhood
The Bird Cage is located on Kapahulu Avenue which is on the quiet end of Waikiki. This is where the hotels end and expansive Kapiolani Park begins. The beach is 30 steps away from the building. When you want to be in the thick of the action in Waikiki - it's a short walk down Kalakaua Avenue. All major bus routes pass by the condo which makes it easy to travel to visitor sites a little farther away - like Pearl Harbor, Iolani Palace, Hanauma Bay or Diamond Head State Park. If you rent a car, being on the end of Waikiki makes access to the freeway, and the rest of the island, is much easier than if you are in the middle of it. The condo does not have a parking space, but spaces can be rented directly from building management for $17/day - although most guests with cars have used a...
