The Cliff House is like nothing you have ever seen before. This custom adobe towers 50 feet over the Pecos River with breathtaking views of the river, dam, and canyon. We also have a 40-foot wide seasonal waterfall just off the back porch that is activated by snowmelt and monsoon rain from the higher mountains.
Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the spectacular views from our patio before descending down a redwood staircase to 250 feet of beautiful, private river frontage with a large meadow that is ideal for camping. Fishing, picnicking, and bird watching our just a few of the many activities you and your family can enjoy. End your evening telling stories around the campfire (don't forget the marshmallows!) or simply enjoy the sounds of the river and nature in the canyon.
We have spared no expense in making the Cliff House comfortable, luxurious, and quaint. The home is a custom Fred Klein adobe with an open floor plan, taking advantage of the breathtaking views out the back bay windows. Most of the home is hypoallergenic, with top of the line mattresses, linens & towels.
We have wifi internet and a ROKU tv filled with tons of free movies on Netflix. If you have a Hulu account, you can access even more movies.
Even though we have only one bath, the room is very large with an oversized jacuzzi tub and a shower that doubles as a steam room. We have a Mr. Steamer system that will instantly relax you after a long day exploring the surrounding area.
The Pecos River Cliff House is a short 30 minute drive from Santa Fe, with many opportunities for sightseeing nearby in the beautiful National Forest. The entrance is right down the street from our home, where you can drive any direction you want. These roads are more easily traveled with four wheel drive automobiles.

Pets are allowed, but they must stay off the furniture and linens. We have a place in the laundry area to keep your pets at night (large area). Smoking is not allowed inside the home, but you can smoke outside.
Most amazing magical weekend in a very long time!! Only got to stay for the weekend but loved it so much that we already booked for a week in June! Robin was amazing! Answered all of our questions and really made us feel welcome

Pecos River Cliff House
The Pecos River Cliff House was an amazing experience for our family. The views are spectacular and It was such a relaxing place and the owners thought of everything. We had no idea we were going to be kayaking, tubing and playing horse shoes. We have already talked about going back.

Breathtaking & Perfect in Every Way!
My husband and I wanted to get away for a family trip with our son after the busy holidays. Needless to say this was a truly memorable trip. The home is gorgeous and had everything you could possibly need or want. We loved the fireplace and the gorgeous view. We camped, canoed, hiked and watched the snow fall! It’s pet friendly yet the house was immaculate when we arrived. My son and his cousin fished (we caught 50 trout total) had a blast fishing and exploring. The pictures are beautiful but it’s even prettier in person!

Amazing scenery, awesome accommodations...do not miss out on this piece of heaven!!!
The views are breathtaking, the house is modern and very nice. We hiked all over the property, and just enjoyed hanging around this property. We rented the Jeep, and had planned to do further exploring, but unfortunately ran out of time. There is so much to do, or even better nothing to do... curl up on the bed, start a fire and stare out at the most brilliantly colored and amazing views. My only advice is.... if you plan to stay 3 days, book it for 5. We even extended our stay by a day because we didn't want to leave. The house is stocked with quite a bit of everything... spices, dishes, fishing poles, waders, extra bedding, pillows, etc. They definitely have the nice quality bedding (all the mattresses were extremely comfortable) and even an outside grill with extra propane if you run out. I cannot say one bad thing.... not one thing we did not enjoy. I cannot find one thing that could be improved.

The Cliff House has it all
Communication with Robin, the host, was great; no worries there. Even got an extra day for a reduced price. We have never had that offered before.
Plenty of online information about the Cliff House so we knew what we were going to have for accommodations.
With that said, there is no way to really get the breath-taking view and feeling until you stand at the open wall and let your eyes and spirit take it in for yourself.
We were so happy to just be standing there watching and listening to the Pecos River.
Everything that you need is in the house, even more than what you need is there.
The river is wonderful and easily accessible by stairs. The grounds around the river at the bottom of the cliff are really something special as well.
We could go on and on about this place but the bottom line is this:
Just book the place and let your soul thank you in its own way.
Pleace to you all and enjoy your stay.

Luxurious rental house with breaktaking mountain & river views
My wife and I stayed at the Pecos River Cliff House from Saturday January 6, 2018 till Saturday January 13, 2018. Robin, our host, sent us a very detailed manual for our stay and was extremely responsive, both in answering questions and providing anything we asked for. Not that there was much to ask for, as this house has been thoughtfully stocked with just about everything you could possibly wish for! The mountain and river views from the house are spectacular, and the house itself is gorgeous and filled with amenities such as a soaking/whirlpool tub, steam shower, full kitchen with dining table, living room with flat-screen TV and wood-burning fireplace, integrated sound system, and much more. The location is private and serene, a perfect place to get away from cities and the hectic pace of modern life, while within easy reach of Santa Fe. My wife took over a hundred photos trying to capture the breathtaking vistas from the deck at the top of the cliff, down a private staircase to the river bank and the dam. We highly recommend this rental house and hope to stay here again in the future!

Sheer perfection!
My husband and I stayed here with our two large, active dogs. We absolutely loved it! The house and the views are spectacular. Everything is immaculate and Robin, the host, is so kind and helpful.We were worried about the July heat (the temp was in the 90s), but the large portable swamp cooler kept us very comfortable, even in the hottest part of the day. The dogs enjoyed cooling off in the river while we explored and lazed in the hammocks. Of the many things we loved about the Cliff House, one was the bed in the master area. I actually contacted Robin a month or so after our visit to get the brand of the mattress when I was shopping for a new one. He got back to me right away with the brand and the purchase information. It's the best mattress I've ever had! We hope to visit the Pecos River Cliff House again.

Thank you so much Carol, so glad that everybody had a great visit at the Cliff House. If you come back next summer, we will have AC. We are adding it this spring to the house. Might only be used 1-2 months a year, but we want to make sure our guest are comfy year round. Thanks again

Pure Bliss
My mom and my daughter and I stayed at the Pecos River Cliff House for a nice long weekend. The views were breathtaking. The amenities were on point. We never had to search for anything as everything was neatly labeled....and I mean everything! The hummingbirds kept us entertained for hours. I thought I was going to get a lot of reading done but in reality I would sit on the back patio and just stare at the view. Time seems to stand still and allows you to just take it all in. I feel so lucky to have found this place and cannot wait to visit again!

Perfect Privacy, Spectacular Beauty!
This gorgeous property was the first time I've rented a getaway that was actually
better in person than in the pictures (and the pictures are gorgeous enough as it is). I can't say enough about how special this private, beautiful property is. The first night we sat out on the porch and watched the lightning show over the river valley, such a breathtakingly beautiful experience! The house itself is spacious and clean, gorgeously decorated, and stocked with everything and anything you might need. Robin was a super host, so friendly and laid back, and always available to answer any questions, he made our stay so easy! We will definitely be back!

Better than magical! I can't think of a better place
This is an amazing house.
Very large and beautifully designed.
And for those of you (like me) who can't live without a good internet connection: this WiFi is one the best I have ever come across.
I can imagine doing lots of things while staying here. Going down to the river (you can sit there or make a fire and I have been told there are hammocks there as well) or going on trips.
I came for solitude and for looking at nature and that is what I got.
Starting my days with a glorious sunrise, sitting outside just watching the hummingbirds and the squirrels and the lizards, listening to the sound of the river below.
Taking pictures. Feeling the stress leave my soul.
I was very impressed by the way Robin communicated from the very beginning. Always friendly, always fast to respond. He was the perfect host.
If you plan to stay in this region do not even hesitate: stay at the Pecos River Cliff House.
I guarantee you will have the time of your life where you choose to climb down to the river or take trips or - like me - just focus on the nature around the house.
