Let's step inside. The Experience at Griffin When first you cross the threshold at Griffin, a rich tapestry rug woven by Native American hands grabs your attention and is reluctant to let go. Once you free your gaze and turn your attention to the great windows facing west and north, it's then you'll fully realize where you are. The majestic mountains of the Front Range stand hand-in-hand with the soaring peaks of the Mummy Range of the Rocky Mountains. Each mountain in this artful array of mass upon mass has both feet planted firmly in Rocky Mountain National Park. The incisive line their peaks inscribe across the sky is the western Continental Divide of the United States. The Griffin living room with its lofty beamed ceiling and hewn-rock wood-burning fireplace is forever focused on these mountains — just as you will be. Campaign-style furniture exudes rustic comfort for your contemplative times here. The Kitchen at Griffin The kitchen in the Griffin vacation home is replete with every essential tool of the culinary arts. It stands ready to partner with you in preparing the fish you caught today. Or, perhaps whatever hearty fare you have in mind — to power you through your hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park or a night out in downtown Estes Park. The gracious dining room is set for six... or you can opt for an outdoor table with a view (make that a “million-dollar view”) on the redwood deck, sitting immediately at hand. The wildlife will pay you little mind as they gently graze past your deck, revealing opportunities to either quietly enjoy or snap the wildlife photo of a lifetime. Lodging and Rest at Griffin The master bedroom at Griffin is a spacious king suite. Downstairs there is a second master king suite and two additional bedrooms with twin beds, ensuring comfortable repose for every member of your party. In fact, Griffin can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests. And when you arrive at Griffin, there's one more thing you should do. Step out back just across your driveway. There is an invisible, but significant, boundary there. Cross that imaginary line best known to the deer, elk, bear, and bobcats — and you are setting foot in Rocky Mountain National Park. Where else could you gaze out your front window all day long at the splendor of snow-dappled peaks, and then step out your back door as evening calls, into the very same park? Quiet and solitude
We had an enjoyable stay. The house has a beautiful panoramic mountain view with the property backing-up to National Park. The house is up in the mountain. The house reminded me of visiting an elderly relative, with the furnishing being straight out of the eighties. The Windcliff staff was nice and very helpful. Only cons were; the Wi-Fi was slow and we had no cell reception while in the subdivision. They did have a landline if you need to make locale calls.

Griffin - October 2017
The home was perfect for us. We have difficulty with steps and this home provided everything we needed on one level. And the views were spectacular! Large windows provided unsurpassed views of the Rockies without even leaving the home. Nature was also in view as we saw deer, elk, turkeys and a variety of birds. We love the Rocky Mountains and this home enabled us to enjoy them within our limited physical capacities.

The best mountain views!
If you enjoy panoramic mountain views, this home is one of the best! Home is well equipped and was perfect for our family. This home is located in the Windcliff addition, always a favorite of ours, and is right next to a great hiking trail. And the WIndcliff staff is always easy to work with and help with any questions and concerns. Its just a great place to stay.

Griffin - Thumbs Up
The two of us had a great stay at the Griffin home, and would recommend it to anyone. Though it was bigger than we needed, we will be keeping this in mind for a family get-together with our daughters and families. There would have been enough room for six adults and a couple small kids. The kitchen was well supplied with all the dishes, pots and pans, glasses and silverware that would be needed to do your own cooking. We did use the outdoor gas grill one evening and found it to be clean and working well. The house is about as far back up in the Wind Cliff estate area as you can get, yet still had a wonderful view of the mountains. Very little traffic. Nice and quite. The home is a duplex, but we never did hear the occupants during our stay. We would be happy to stay here again in the future.

A most beautiful setting and outstanding accommodations
Our family of eight (5 adults and 3 children) stayed at Griffin for five days and six nights in June and couldn't have been happier with this house. Adding to our enjoyment were the stunning views of Rocky Mountain National Park and all the comforts of home which were available throughout the house. There was ample space for all of us to relax and the owners obviously know how to prepare a house to accommodate guests. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the implements necessary for preparing meals, there was ample closet and drawer space for our clothes and the beds were comfortable. We really felt welcome and at home and hope to stay there again in the future.

Gorgeous views cozy home
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Griffins. The only cons was the bedroom televisions were outdated and the wifi was extremely slow none of our phones had service neither but it was great to disconnect from the world. Every morning we had deer visit us by our window.

Embarassingly, as mentioned in our FAQ's and also rental materials, Windcliff.com is located on the side of a remote mountain that faces AWAY from civilization (hence the AMAZING views) and as such, cell phones do not work reliably at Windcliff.com. But WiFi is available and reliable in all our homes. We would have been happy to address the WiFi speed (we never charge for such service) just give the gatehouse a call if you ever return with us and have any problem like this. We will certainly suggest the owner of the home upgrades those TV's this year. Thank you kindly for that suggestion. Glad you enjoyed your stay and cannot wait to have you back at Windcliff again soon!

Griffin - Windcliff Properties
We have been staying at Windcliff for a number of years and we have always had a good vacation. This was our first time to stay in the Griffin home and we were very pleased with the facilities and the view. Our daughter and son-in-law joined us for a few days; we did not take full advantage of the capacity of the house, it would have handled four more with ease. We have been going to Estes Park for many years and know all the great trips and hiking you can do, but this time, we all just needed a few days of peace and quiet and we found it.

Rocky mountain experience
Loved the view. The staff were very responsive. Tidy and clean. Significant climb up the mountain. Expensive and needs updating of furnishings. Make sure you shop for supplies at Safeway in town or bring your own.

Comfortable and Relaxing
We really enjoyed our winter get-away at the Griffin home. We had peace and quiet, beautiful views, and all the comforts of home. It was a very relaxing experience. I really appreciated how well appointed and well stocked the kitchen was as we ate all our meals there. The furnishings were very comfortable, and there was excellent lighting for reading. I would highly recommend this lovely home. Another plus is that you are just a few minutes from a Trail Head to Rocky Mountain Nationak Park, and there is a delightful trail which takes you to Lily Lake.
