About the neighborhood
There is plenty to do to fill your time during your stay! Some of our favorite activities include: Mt. Rainier National Park: open year round for a variety of activities including snowshoeing, sledding, and cross-country skiing in the winter and hiking, sight-seeing, and mountain climbing in the summer. All four seasons offer extraordinary photography opportunities with or without the 14,000+ mountain as the backdrop. NW Trek: another area favorite located about 30 minutes from Ashford. NW Trek is a 723-acre wildlife park that is home to more than 200 North American animals. Take the signature tram tour through the free-roaming area and spot moose, swan, bison, mountain goat, caribou, and more as they wander through forests, wetlands and meadows. Then stroll through the walking area ...
Getting around
This home is located in Ashford, WA, which is just outside the Paradise/Nisqually entrance to Mt Rainier National Park. There is no public transportation. During the winter, roads in Ashford are generally kept clear of snow, however, chains are required for all vehicles in the National Park between November and May.
