Villa Royal has its own car entrance, being the access from the outside to the ground level of the villa free of stairs. There is a garage for several cars.
Entering the villa you notice how spacious and bright the villa is. The hall gives access to a large open plan living room with a high ceiling, which reaches two floors up, and a glass wall over the entire width of the room, so you can admire the incredible views to the sea and the surroundings everywhere. There is a modern seating area with TV set and a wood burning fireplace for those winter evenings when the sun sets earlier. The integrated modern kitchen has a cooking island and all the necessary equipment to prepare a delicious dinner. This island has at its end some bar stools, where you can sit to chat with the cook and overlook the sea view at the same time. There is both indoor and outdoor a dining table. The villa has WIFI and a satellite TV with a wide variety of European and international channels.
Through the sliding doors the living room gives you access to the spacious terrace with sun awnings, where you can sit back in comfortable chairs/loungers and enjoy the marvelous views for hours. The water of the private heated infinity pool shines in the sun and invites you to unwind and enjoy the marvelous views. There is a dining table for ten, so you can savour great meals and barbeques next to the pool. There is a large, gas barbecue for your use.
There are two master bedrooms with a super king size bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) and two additional bedrooms, each suited for 2 guests; one bedroom of each kind per floor. Each room has a well-equipped en suite bathroom with walk-in rainshower and two of them also have a bath. In all bedrooms you can experience great views from the bed, and you have glass sliding doors that give you access to the terraces. Waking up in this villa is amazing!
The whole villa has central hot and cold air conditioning, which can be controlled in every room separately. Washing machine and tumble dryer are available for you.
As the ground floor of the villa is accessible by car and two bedrooms are located on this floor the villa is ideal for persons with reduced mobility. The ground floor is also suitable for people using wheelchairs.
Villa Royal is located on the very nice hillside urbanization Monte de los Almendros. The recreational area of this urbanization is on walking distance. Guests have complimentary use of the communal tennis court, large pool, children’s pool, football pitch and playground and a snack bar during the summer months.
The beach, restaurants and shops are less than a 10 minute drive away. There is an easy access to Malaga, Granada or Almeria airport. If you can manage yourself away from this marvelous villa, there are lots of things to see and to do: the ski area of the Sierra Nevada where you can also enjoy great walking and hiking is less than 75 minutes away, so you can ski during the morning (from December to April) and relax on the beach or at the pool in the afternoon. There is a golf course 10 minutes away that is located right on the beach. The picturesque mountain villages of Las Alpujarras are nearby as well as the wonderful cities of Granada with the world famous Alhambra Palaces and Malaga with its historic downtown, the cathedral and the Picasso museum.
Salobreña benefits from the subtropical microclimate with over 300 days of sunshine a year and average temperature of over 20 degrees C. For those interested in sightseeing art, architecture and history this region offers the best of what Andalusia provides. You will be charmed and overwhelmed by the beauty of the region. Small white washed villages on the top of the hills, tropical nature, sounds of flamenco and of course the richness and variety of the Spanish food.

Salobreña is located in the colorful and warm South of Spain, in the region of Andalucia and more specifically in the province of Granada. Apart from the Alhambra Palace and the Sierra Nevada mountains, the province of Granada is famous for the free tapas with any drink. This is a great way to sample the delicious local food. Salobreña is part of the still relatively virgin Costa Tropical without mass tourism, making it the ideal holiday destination for the discerning tourist. If you want a relaxing vacation, good beaches, blue skies, sun, a wealth of leisure activities and a taste of the real Spain then you've come to the right place!
Getting around
Salobreña and Motril are easily accessible with a taxi, but cities further away like Malaga and Granada are best reachable by car. We would strongly recommend to rent a car to get around easily. With your reservation you get a 10% discount for a car rental. The historic city of Granada with the spectacular Alhambra Palace is only 45 minutes away. The small mountain villages of the Alpujarras are well worth exploring. Other places of interest include Almunecar with its markets and Roman ruins, La Herradura with its beautiful harbour and Nerja with its underground caves. Our guests love this area because it is still Spanish and very much unspoilt. It is how the Costa del Sol used to be before it was overdeveloped.

Airports: The closest airports to Salobrena are in Granada, Malaga and Almeria. Granada airport is 45 minutes from our villa. However, the majority of our guests fly on Malaga airport as there are hundreds of flights daily from all over Europe. Malaga airport is less than an hour away from this villa. Almeria is around 75 minutes away. We have an agreement with several car hire companies that offer our clients a 10 % discount. Please ask us for details upon booking so you can take advantage of this savings.
