'Dracula's Castle' is only one km away from our villa, but this nice castle built by the Teutonic Knights around 1212 should NOT be your main reason to visit Bran, BUT:
We have already had visitors from the UK, the USA, Switzerland, Germany and Austria and they all agreed: Bran's landscape is really unique in its intensive, wild beauty.
It is a highly picturesque mountain village, with its permanently changing topography, with its immense green grass carpets dotted with wild flowers, randomly decorated by thousands of hay stacks all along the summer and autumn, with sheep flocks crossing your way , framed by mountain streams, fir tree forests, fringed by the numerous Carpathian peaks almost from all directions, surrounded by cities resplendent with gothic, baroque and renaissance architecture, as well as a wealth of historical attractions, Bran's area is one of the most visited places in Romania.
Shops, Internet places, banks, ATVand ski rentals are never too far away.
Last but not least, please also keep in mind the traditional tasty meals offered by the many restaurants in the village itself as well as in the whole area.
