Our family of 6(2 adults,4 children age 2,4,8,11) and a young labrador, stayed here for a week.
We had a fantastic holiday, spending most of our time on the little beach, thanks to the beautiful weather we were so lucky to get.We even saw a family of dolphins swimming close to shore on our last night, which was amazing!
The house itself is basic, but met our needs.
The beds were very comfy, and bedding lovely and soft.
The house was spotless.
We loved the range fire, and lit it every night, which left us with hot water for baths the next morning.Having turf included was fantastic-the smell was gorgeous!
The only thing that wasn't supplied was egg cups for boiled eggs(our favourite breakfast)but such a minor complaint.Everything else you could possibly need was supplied.
The view of the sea,and the surrounding mountains was stunning. We really enjoyed the 5 minute walks to the beach.
Although the sea is very close to the house(you can hear the waves),getting to the beach takes a little longer than i expected, but this was not a disappointment.
In an ideal world,we would have loved a bit of outside space with somewhere to allow the kids and dog to play,or to sit and eat in the evenings and take in the beautiful views, but this wasn't possible at this house, which was fine for the price paid.
Anne Marie and her husband were really friendly. We felt very welcome, and they weren't at all intrusive.Their dogs were lovely too.
We made use of the offer of babysitting one night, which was fantastic, and allowed us grown-ups to go for a nice quiet dinner together;)
Just a small word of warning for families with 3+ children, the electricity meter, which you had to put coins in,was quite expensive, averaging out at 6-7 euros a day for us(the washing machine was on twice daily, and tumble drier once daily with lots of towels used on the beach). We didn't budget for this so was a bit of a shock. This may be normal for rental houses, but we hadn't experienced this before in previous rentals.
Overall,it was our best family holiday yet,and we would love to come back.
