We originally booked this property for 2020, and due to the pandemic we had to cancel, we rebooked for 2021, and once again, we had to cancel just three weeks before travelling, Amanda was amazing, rather than just accepting our cancellation, which meant we would have lost our full payment, she offered to move the booking to 2022. We finally made it out and we are so glad we did. The cabin is lovely, plenty of space for 6 of us, and surrounded by forest. It's on a really quiet road, so there isn't much passing traffic, but there are other cabins around so you aren't completely isolated. We originally picked this cabin because of the short distance to town. It's about a 20minute walk downhill to Gatlinburg, bringing you out near Anakeesta and Ripley's Aquarium, bear in mind it is also uphill all the way back, but it isn't a difficult walk. We took torches for night time but we didn't actually need them as there are street lights most of the way back.
When we arrived the cabin was spotless and exactly like in the photos. Communication with the owners is excellent, any questions I had were always answered very quickly, even with the UK time difference.
I would highly recommend this cabin, especially if you want to see wildlife, we saw bears, racoons, groundhogs, deer, bats, snakes in the creek and lots of other creatures.
I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin again if we were lucky enough to come back to the Smokies.
