Plush wine colored leather sofa and love seat provide comfort in the great room. Custom made locally crafted log night stands, with drawers for your personal items, are next to each side of the king size beds. This home is designed with your convenience and privacy in mind with basically two separate suites with their own baths. The home is all one level so there are no stairs to traverse, or lofts. Each bedroom has it's own entrance so you can come and go as you please. A hallway door closes off one bedroom and bath from the rest of the home. Your luxury baths include 6 foot tubs with grab bars if you need some extra balance. Premium king size Sealy Posturepedic beds await, ready to provide the rest and comfort you'll need for your exploration of paradise! Bedrooms offer extra deep closets with sliding mirror doors. Each room of the home has a view of the woods and the privacy that surround the home. There are many restaurants in the area or just cook your own meals in your new kitchen. The pantry will give you extra space. Enjoy the morning sun at your breakfast table in a separate dining room. When you return from your day of adventure, dine or barbecue with a view of the sunset, relax in the great room, plan your next day from the library showcasing the area, or just kick back and watch the news or a great movie. Glacier Park is so close you can even return home to prepare lunch or return for a beautiful evening at Lake McDonald after dinner. Historic Belton Chalet, the first lodge built near Glacier Park in 1910, is 1 1/2 miles from the home with fine dining and cozy pub. Train station is 1 mile from the home if you take the train; car rental can be waiting for your arrival and left at station upon your departure. PLEASE NOTE* The internet speed at the home is .785 MB and all that is available in the West Glacier area for anyone. This speed allows you to watch the Netflix provided and use your devices. However, if you are in need of high speed internet you will find it the farther you get from the park. Hungry Horse, 10 miles away, offers 10MB internet speed. So, you have a trade off as with all things in life. If you want the convenience to be 2 miles from West Glacier Park entrance gate please do not have the expectation of rapid fast internet. This is a remote area, some of the highest peaks of the Continental Divide, and we even have a waiting list for phone/internet lines, so we are very happy to have what we have! The cell phone service works great at the home, but you will not have any cell service in the park. If you only need 1 bed/bath, check out #8750352 More

My wife and I, my brother and his wife stayed together at Darlene's house in West Glacier July 20th through the 27th. Her description of the property is true. This is a great place to serve as a base to visit Glacier national Park. The house is modern and nicely furnished and decorated. The bed was better than what I have at home. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all large enough for comfort. You could live in a place like this! There is a very up-to-date washer and dryer that both work great. The stainless steel dishwasher works equally well. And the water that comes out of the taps is pristine; so don't bother buying any bottled water. The house has geothermal air conditioning because the ground water is so cold! But there is also electric heating that works very well, too. Two large water heaters provided all the hot water we needed for our showers. I highly recommend Darlene's house in West Glacier for your stay. All of us were very impressed.

Darlene’s cabin is a dream cabin and the best VRBO rental I have ever had. Darlene has thought of everything that you will need for a great trip and has stocked it in her cabin. After a long day in Glacier National Park it was so nice to come in for a hot shower and a comfortable bed. If you are going to GNP I recommend you rent this cabin because you will not be disappointed. Also Darlene is so easy to work with. Thanks Darlene for making my trip so special.

This house is 2 miles from Glacier Park west entrance . This is perfect as you want to get to the park early to be sure of a parking place. The cabin literally has everything you could ever need for your stay. The cabin is very comfortable and clean. Beds are most comfortable. The owner, Darlene, is extremely responsive and helpful. There is literature in the house for Glacier Park. There are menus for most restaurants nearby. Darlene has also left suggestions as to things to do. I suggest you try them; we did. She suggested Whitehead Ski Lift, and it was great fun. There is even much needed bear spray. A deer visited us one morning. You will be very happy you rented this cabin, we were!

There are so many wonderful things about this rental - friendly owner, CLEAN, comfortable, hospitable, great location, well equipped, and special amenities you don't find everywhere. First of all, Darlene was great to work with - flexible and great at communicating. And the place was immaculate! For comfort, the living area had knit blankets for cozying up and spacious couches for watching movies, the beds were king size and so soft, and the linens were quality. It really felt luxurious to stay here. Hospitality? We were running late on our way to the cabin, and I didn't have time for coffee creamer, but there was some in a basket in the pantry. There were other condiments, too, like restaurant packets of seasoning, jam, and sauces that other guests were kind enough to leave behind. The cooler was so helpful as we went out on hikes - and we were so grateful for the washer and dryer. Darlene even had laundry soap for us to use. The cabin had toilet paper and paper towel to get us started until I was able to get more (and leave behind for the next guests), and I was able to use some of the plastic dishes in the pantry to take on picnic lunches - just those little things that are so helpful to have "on the other side" when you fly and can't take everything on vacation. The best? Ice cubes in the freezer - not only made and in the bin, but extras in the ice trays as well. Couldn't have asked for a better place to make memories with the family! Thank you, Darlene!

This was such a wonderful place to stay for our week in Glacier National Park. The location was great for exploring the park and close to the town of Hungry Horse for groceries, local shops and restaurants. The house was immaculate and very well stocked. Darlene goes above and beyond with details, and instructions, has baskets of brochures, books and local information along with some of her personal favorites! There were even fresh flowers on the dining table. Great quality towels, sheets, dishes, pots and pans etc... we needed nothing! It was the perfect place to start and end your day!!! Darlene was so nice, glad we met!

We were so pleased with everything about this rental! Darlene, the owner, was absolutely wonderful to work with. The location was so convenient, and exactly what we were looking for. The cabin is very clean, updated nicely, and just an overall great place to stay. We will hopefully be returning to Montana in the coming years, and will definitely keep this lovely little cabin in mind when we do!

This is an immaculately clean, spacious, fully equipped house in a quiet, wooded development 5 min from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. Comfy king beds, plenty of closet/ bureau space, 2 modern bathrooms, large laundry room, fully stocked kitchen including coolers/ freezer packs. Table grill outside, 2 big umbrellas which came in handy. We used it as our base for a week at the park, altho it was a bit of a drive to the east side of park (Two Medicine, Many Glacier/ Swift Current areas). Excellent restaurant, Belton Chalet, on Rt. 2 just outside the park entrance and pretty good restaurants in West Glacier Village and Apgar Village.

We stayed here for 9 nights during our recent visit to Glacier National Park. The house was located close to the west entrance of the park and near the towns of Hungry Horse and West Glacier for shopping, restaurants, excursions etc. The house is new, clean, comfortable (we used heat and air conditioning) and contains everything you need to prepare meals (including an outdoor grill). Wi-fi and television reception were excellent. It is in a small community of homes, each on a wooded plot. We saw rabbits, birds and mule deer on the property every day. The area was quiet and peaceful.

About the neighborhood
Your cabin in the woods is located in a private area 1 1/2 miles from West Glacier, entrance to Glacier National Park. You can depart your mountain retreat and walk to restaurants, a bistro, or fine dining at the historic Belton Chalet and Pub. West Glacier offers raft companies, a grocery store, gas stations, and even a post office to send those post cards home. Isaac Walton, sitting on the Continental Divide, is a worthwhile trip on the south side of Glacier Park, featuring a railroad stop, complete with boxcars and a theme pub and restaurant with photos of the rich history surrounding the area. Hungry Horse Dam is only 10 miles from the home; this is the 7th largest dam in the world and is worth seeing. You can actually ride up and down in an elevator inside of the dam itself! Drive ove...
