Close to the subway in Brooklyn and some wonderful cafe's and restaurants with an easy ride to Manhattan. This house is beautiful, its original features sit easily with modern comforts and wonderful artwork. It is relaxing as soon as you walk through the door. Jan has a clear eye for beautiful design. Hana the housekeeper is super helpful and gave us a great welcome and we enjoyed a unique family stay while we explored New York.

Clinton Hill is a great neighborhood -- just fifteen minutes to Manhattan, great subway access, but still a real neighborhood, with incredible restaurants, cafes, parks & shopping. I will never stay in a hotel again -- this three story brownstone has every amenity, three fabulous bedrooms, and costs a quarter of the price of a fine hotel. AS the photos show, light floods into every room from floor to ceiling windows; the original architectural details have been perfectly preserved, yet the atmosphere is fresh, warm, and enveloping. You'll instantly feel at home. This is a great place for a large family visiting New York, for a group traveling together (but wanting private space so they can decompress) or for a couple on a truly romantic honeymoon or second honeymoon. The gorgeous garden and patio for al fresco dining is just one of the many enticements that make this home truly special. I'd recommend it to anyone without qualifiaction.
