We loved staying at Randy and June's condo/home. The location is great. Walk to Old Town San Diego, convienience store, restaurants, bars, shops. We also walked to the Old Town Trolley and took that tour. I highly recommend it. The location is also centrally located for driving to other attractions. Some that we did were the USS Midway aircraft carrier, the San Diego Zoo, the Hornblower Cruise of the bay to mention just a few. Lots more to see if we had more time. The condo itself is clean and modern. Keep in mind that Randy and June live there from time to time so they have some clothes in the closets and dressers. That being said there is plenty of space to unpack from your suitcase. Great view of the bay, airport, Point Loma and Old Town from the deck. They have hummingbird feeders on the deck that are busy all through the day. You have a covered parking spot for the condo which can hold 2 vehicles. We just simply called Randy and let him know about when we would be pulling in and he met us there. He gave us keys to the condo, keys to the pool and whirlpool in the complex and a gate opener for the gate to come and go. There is also a list of directions to places around the condo such as a grocery store, restaurants, bars etc. The condo is pet friendly although we didn't have one. On the back deck where the bbq grill is located there is also an area of grass for a dog to do its business. The condo is 2 bdrm with 2 baths. A full kitchen, washer & dryer. They even have laundry soap you can use. There is no A/C but there doesn't need to be. This condo is on the third level so you get a breeze. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and they have extra fans. With the windows open it was nice inside. Randy and June are very nice people to deal with. Randy told us to call him if we need anything. The only time I called was the night before we left to ask what we needed to do upon leaving. He said we don't need to do a thing. He has a crew come in and clean up. If I get back to the area I will rent this condo again. I highly recommend it to a family or 2 couples traveling together. We were 2 couples traveling together and it worked out great.

We really enjoyed our stay here. At 2 floors up, on a hill, the view is great and if you like to see hummingbirds then you get about 20 at a time on the feeders at dusk. It's a 5 min walk to the San Diego Old Town and the train, bus and trolley centre is only the other side of Old Town. The apartment has everything for self catering which suited us as we had been on the road for 3 weeks and needed a break from restaurants every night, but there's plenty of choice for eating in Old Town. We got the bus to Mission Beach, and Pacific beach one day and bussed to San Diego Zoo the other, both on the $5 all day bus pass tickets. The owner was very helpful and we'd happily stay here again.
