River House is a hidden riverfront gem on the Swannanoa, tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood 10 minutes from Downtown Asheville and a few miles from an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Located at the end of a private dead-end street the house itself has a secluded feel, gated and set well back from the private lane. Beautiful setting, river views and water noise, fully equipped. River House has two bedrooms, ( One King bed, one queen bed ) two baths. Waterfront deck overlooking the river. Rate is for 4 guests. One additional guest allowed for a flat $20 fee. Linens and sofa available for 5th guest. ( not a sofa bed ) This house is not pet-friendly. Please see our sister property next door, the Rock House for pet consideration.

Cottage with beautiful outdoor space
River House is our first Asheville rental that made us want to stay there for meals. Groceries are nearby. The yard by the river is wonderful. The deck has a charcoal grill and table and chairs. The grounds are delightfully beautiful. Being there was a pleasure. And the cottage itself is immaculate. We’ve been visiting Asheville for 10 years and River House was the best.

Beautiful and serine. Serenaded by birds in the morning and crickets at night with the sound of the flowing river in the background. Home was tastefully decorated, spacious and clean. I will definitely choose this spot again when I visit Asheville.

No sleep for me.
I found the property to be very nice and private. The only negative about the property is that the mattresses are old and and worn out. It was uneven and very uncomfortable in both bedrooms.If that issue gets addressed I would consider renting the property again.

The setting was wonderful, the assistance from Rebecca was fantastic but the cabin needs updated.
We found the Asheville area to be very friendly and with several good restaurants. The ladies particularly enjoyed the tour of the Biltmore Estate and the golf for the guys was pretty good.

Peaceful and Beautiful
The houses was lovely and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The property is along a river that is perfect for wading or sitting next to with a glass of wine. There are cliffs and rocks that make the age suggestion valid. My girls 10 and 8 loved the property and enjoyed wading, fishing and chasing fireflies. We had to drag them to see rest of Asheville. We will be back.

A Piece of Heaven with nice tranquil river water sounds
Right up front I would rent it again and again. Both deck are very nice one for morning coffee and when it rains with the other for a great view of the river. Everything in the cottage worked great. So much vegetation around with flowers and green which made it very cool even on hot days. Just lovely!

Relaxation!
It was a perfect setting just like the picture shows, along with perfect weather. Sitting in the adirondack chairs listening to the rippling river was beautiful. Super comfortable cabin with awesome views. Thank you Rebecca for accommodating and making our visit to Asheville very nice.! We will come back again!

Rent. This. Cabin. Tucked away only ten minutes from downtown Asheville sits this little gem on the Swannanoa River. It's quiet, yet not isolated. The cabin is fully supplied with everything you need to cook indoors and grill outdoors, except the food and beverage themselves. A grocery store is only minutes away. The hostess/caretaker is an angel who lives right up the way and is able and eager to help, as needed. Clean. Comfortable. Cozy. Not cramped. Perfect for two or for a small family. Rent. This. Cabin. Just not when we want to. ;)

Perfect in every way
We loved everything about this house and we are already planning our trip back. The location is spectacular with the river in the backyard and it is only 15 mins from pretty much everything. Rebecca thought of everything. I've rented several vacation homes and there is always something missing. Rebecca made sure we had paper products, clean sponge, enough linens, and soap in the kitchen and bathrooms. The house was very clean, which is perhaps the most important feature. I highly recommend this house, but don't pick my weekend :)

Entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway is a couple of miles from the units. No pets allowed in this unit but we do allow pet in our sister property next door, The Rock House.
