We are not “cabin” people, but with Covid we decided it was better to stay somewhere away from people, not at a hotel with a big lobby, etc. I was worried the cabin would be dirty, remote and just not comfortable for us. Boy was I wrong! This cabin was incredible! First, the location was perfect. Rural but not remote, with gorgeous Mountain View from the back porch, lots of land around us so it was very private, woods for the kids to run in, a big fire pit for s’mores every night and a huge parking lot for the cars. We were literally 10 minutes from the town of Asheville, including a big grocery store, restaurants, shops, etc. Downtown was about a 15-20
Min ride. Second, the cabin itself was new, updated, well appointed and beyond immaculate. Due to Covid I went through and cleaned everything myself when I got there, and there was not one piece of dirt or dust in the entire place. I was shocked. The rooms are large and so are the bathrooms, which we loved. And they thought of everything to make us feel at home, leaving us liquid hand soaps, liquid body soap in the shower, fire wood, kitchen supplies (everything you need to cook and prepare, such as spices, creamer, tea bags, Splenda, coffee filters, foil, Saran Wrap, etc. Even batteries, lighters, laundry detergent, and night lights. It felt like we were staying with family. They provided fresh, clean linens and towels, with lots of extras in the closet, and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. I also noticed baby gates and a pack n play in the closet if you have babies. And, my personal favorite was the fresh bamboo plants and fresh eggs they left for us from their farm. Not to mention Steve the owner was an incredible help with finding restaurants and things to do, and was always available to answer any questions we had. He was like a personal concierge! Overall this was one of our best experiences away from home we’ve ever had and I highly recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to be in a beautiful environment but also close to the action in Asheville. We will see you again soon, Steve and Louise!
