Interaction with guests:Â Most times, the owner or representative will meet you at the house for check in, give you the keys, and walk you through a few details about the property such as how to work the tiki torches and the pool and spa. Usually takes about 10 minutes and then your on your way to enjoying an awesome house for the week. If you arrive late at night, the owner will give you an access code so you can make yourself at home.

Perfect location, accommodations, and host!
Andrew and his Maui Meadows guesthouse were perfect! 10 of us, 4-76 years old, came from 3 different areas of the country for a mini family reunion. It was everything we needed, wanted and then some. Andrew was friendly, professional, accommodating, and fairly priced for what he offered. It was so much easier to stay at a larger home, 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathrooms, with our own pool and hot tub than trying to get a couple of condos close together. The home was fully stocked including, snorkel gear, beach chairs & towel, coolers, sun block, spices and more. I was actually in management, in the hospitality industry, for more than 10 years in Hawaii. I know what it takes behind the scene to provide such excellent accommodations and this is top notch. Mahalo Andrew! We hope to return soon and will definitely recommend the Maui Meadows guesthouse!

Beautiful home in Maui great for a family or group
We had the good fortune to stay at Andrew's Maui Meadows guesthouse in October and it was absolutely perfect. Each bedroom has it's own ensuite and Andrew was just finishing renovations on one of the bathrooms. We spent almost all our time outside enjoying the pool and hot tub/waterfalls. We enjoyed fresh limes, bananas and avocado from the backyard - what a difference when fresh like that. We have been to Maui many times so this time we decided to try the Winery which was great and also the Maui Brewery. Both had amazing food. The beaches were wonderful as usual. I can't say enough about this home you'll love it if you decide to book.

Beautiful house but unfortunately won't rent again
Beautiful house and location was nice, although we are used to staying in Wailea which a nicer area in comparison.We have gone to Maui every year for the last 10 years consecutively (as a family). We have never had any issues with prior rental agreements minus this one unfortunately. As another of my family members mentioned prior we lost our deposit to a couple 'odd things' one wouldn't expect. We did move one side table from the living room into a bedroom (as there was no table beside the bed to put our things on) as well we moved an artificial plant about 2 meters from it's original spot as our one child was scared of it. Also, with any rental properties one would expect cleaners to do the windows after so make sure the 'print count' is less than 5 otherwise you may want to clean them yourself before leaving. We even lifted up the couches to clean underneath prior to leaving. Was this worth keeping our deposit? I suppose that depends how tight a ship one runs. In the end I would just say make sure you do a thorough cleaning before you leave otherwise you stand the chance of losing your money.
I would say it's definitely a nice house and would recommend renting but not if you have kids. Again, we have never had any issues so either this guy was looking to keep a deposit or they need a new cleaning company that actually expects 'to clean'.
In the letter we received afterwards the landlord said he would have us back but due to these things had to keep our deposit? Why would you have someone back if they truly left your house in the bad shape you claimed it was? That makes zero sense.
Again just be careful when you leave to do a major clean (not just a light one).

Hi Readers: This is the same group who just posted two reviews for the same stay. I'm an honest person, and not trying to nickel and dime people. It's very rare I have to deduct any amount from a security deposit. Most of the time I let things go even when there are minor damages/additional cleaning involved. You are the 1st group to complain in 10 years you didn't get 100% of your security deposit back, and the 1st group in 10 years to leave a less than 5 star review. It makes me sad you all would criticize me and my hard working cleaning crew. I've had the same crew for the last 10 years so I know exactly how long it takes them, how hard they work, and what needs to be cleaned. Apparently we have differing thoughts on what condition a house should be left in, and so to avoid confusion, a checkout list is provided in the living room for guests. It was there in plain sight but not followed. I do not ask guests to do a major cleaning, but only to tidy the home before you leave. Again, it's all detailed on the checkout list. And btw, 90% of groups I rent to have multiple kids. To describe it as not kid friendly is inaccurate. I personally built the entire backyard for kids containing a shallow pool, hot tub, ping pong, kids toys, etc etc. Kids love this place!

Nice place but NOT KID FRIENDLY
We were excited for our trip to stay as a family; myself and my 4 grandchildren and 2 daughters....we had a wonderful time overall. The location is above the highway so driving to the beach is inevitable. The issue we had was after check out we received an email from the property owner charging us EXTRA for cleaning because of a few items, some of which we could see, but one of the items included fingerprints on the windows. If you have kids allowed to stay there you should expect fingerprints on the windows and realize that using a little glass cleaner should be normal in the cleaning fee we initially paid. Another item we were charged for was missing beach towels which we know all were accounted for....so if you do stay make sure you take count of items before hand.

Hi Readers: Ok you decide. My property has only 5 star reviews dating back to 2010. This was the VERY 1ST group to leave a review less than 5 stars in 10 years. Many groups that stay have kids and it is a very kid friendly place! I would not rent to them again because of the condition the house was left in. Here is the email I copied and pasted to them after their stay:
"The house was not left in good condition and my cleaners charged me extra money. I am just so very thankful we didn’t have a back to back check in that day because we would have never gotten the house back into acceptable shape in time for the next group! My cleaners spent a lot of extra time cleaning and I have attached the invoice I received from my cleaner. There was a bunch of furniture moved around the house, sheets in the studio bedroom were stained, the main and studio couch was stained, there was yogurt smeared all over the house, and excessive dirt/fingerprints on almost every window and door. BBQ was left dirty, kids toys left dirty, trash all overflowed under the sink, etc etc etc. Also There were 3 beach towels missing so I had to go buy 3 new ones so the next guests weren't out 3 towels."

Perfect
We stayed at MM for 8 nights with 3 other couples. The place is big enough for privacy without being too big. We had coffee every morning by the pool and just enjoyed the day. The hot tub is great, as is the entire backyard. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of place for 10 people to eat.
Andrew has the garage stocked with plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and snorkel gear, From the front door to the beach is about a 3 minute drive.
For us, we would much rather stay in the Kihei/Wailea area over the Kaanapali/Lahaina area. It’s just more laid back.
We would definitely stay here again.

Maui Meadows Rental
This was a great find. The house had just about anything you would need. Andrew was quick to respond and addressed any questions or concerns quickly. The back yard was inviting and relaxing. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom to include a restroom accessible from the patio and an outside shower to rinse off. The bed in the bedroom we were in was a little hard so I would recommend a mattress topper. As my wife was disappointed not being right on the beach, the close proximity (3/4 of a mile) from a beach turned out to be just fine. The extras needed for the beach were available which provided plenty of snorkeling gear and chairs to lounge in. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home, backyard is paradise!
Our group of 10 stayed here for a wedding trip. The house did not disappoint! We expected a lot given how amazing the property looked in photos and it was even better in person.
There are 4 very spacious bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 1 rollaway bed, 1 airbed, 1 crib, outdoor shower, BBQ grill, salt-water pool with a waterfall & heating mechanism, a big collection of chairs and pool amenities. The kitchen had everything we need and more to cook meals together. The landscaping is thoughtfully designed with a lot of beautiful plants that provided privacy. We enjoyed morning yoga in the backyard and watching the dragonflies and geckos visit.
We met Andrew and his beautiful wife in-person. It was evident that they’ve put a lot of thought, love, and care into this home to make it enjoyable for guests. We highly recommend Maui Meadows Guesthouse for adults and families!

Perfect for extended family
Our first trip to Hawaii and we brought along our kids and grandkids. What was their favorite thing about their trip. ... snorkeling with sea turtles, the Road to Hana, the beautiful beaches, the amazing Old Lahaina Luau? No. Their favorite thing was the pool!! All 9 of us loved the yard and took full advantage of the pool, hot tub, outdoor cabana, swing, grill, the outdoor shower and the beautiful waterfall. It was a great place to relax after our daily adventures. The house was spacious and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. It is very convenient to numerous beaches and a variety of great restaurants. We loved Monkeypod and the fish tacos at Coconuts were delicious. Don’t forget Ululanis for shave ice. We highly recommend Maui Meadows guesthouse for your family vacation.

Marvelous Maui Meadows
We had the most awesome stay at the Maui Meadows Guesthouse! The house was clean and roomy and well kept. We had 10 adults and a toddler and there was plenty of room for all. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, the beds were comfortable and roomy. The backyard with the pool, hot tub and cabana was so enjoyable, relaxing and fun. A pleasant surprise was the extras including beach towels and chairs, snorkeling gear, pool toys and activities. We were near lots of beaches restaurants stores and golfing! Our host Andrew was friendly and helpful but left us to our own unless we neesed something! All and all, a wonderful place to stay!

Perfect Maui holiday house
Absolutely loved our stay at Maui Meadows Guestbouse. Andrew was a wonderful host and the house had everything we needed. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms it was perfect for our large family group. The pool and spa area was amazing. We will definitely be back.

About the neighborhood
In the desired neighborhood called Maui Meadows. Most of the properties in this neighborhood sell for $1 million or more. The property is located on the border of Kihei and Wailea. Everything in Wailea (Ritzy hotels, high end shopping, Tennis clubs, golf courses, beaches and snorkeling, Restaurants) is 3-7 minutes away by car. Everything in Kihei (Restaurants, Shops, Condos, downtown, grocery stores, Beaches, parks, etc etc) is 3-10 minutes drive the other way. It is located approximately 3/4 mile from the beach, and can be walked to in about 20 minutes. The beach parking lot is a 2-3 minute drive from the house.
Getting around
When visiting Maui, you will want to rent a car. There are so many different experiences all over the island. Maui is 742 sq miles and would take all day or more to drive around. You will want to venture out some days far, and other days hit one of the 7 beaches about 5 minutes drive from the house.

Maui Meadows Guesthouse is located about 25 or so minutes from Kahului Airport (OGG). The owner can provide directions or you can use GPS. There are 3 spots in the front driveway for your rent-a-cars.
