Lots of private lanai space to relax, barbecue etc.
We make it easy to self-cater, with a giant fridge, sink and dishwasher inside. Outside under the covered lanai is your own barbecue and powerful double burner gas stove, PLUS a charcoal barbecue. Of course there are all the usual comforts - coffeemakers etc etc ... and anything you need, just ask. You may make yourselves so 'at home' that you may not want to leave!
But if you do, there's a lot to see. Though we have a definite 'off the beaten path' feel, it's only a 15 minute drive to the nearest grocery store and some fabulous restaurants; 20 mins to Paia and Makawao; 20 minutes to sandy local beaches. ('Ho'okipa', home of the Aloha Classic windsurfing championship, is just outside Pa'ia and has a delightful swimming cove). And when you come home, of course, enjoy your own spectacular cobalt-tiled outdoor shower and jump into your huge private hot tub!
Our central location ensures that the whole island is accessible - only 1 1/2 hours from Hana; same to Lahaina; 45 mins to Kihei; and you can even access the summit of Haleakala very easily too. SO MUCH TO DO AND SEE!
Star Honeymoon Lookout also has access to a 44ft freeform swimming pool which is shared with a few other guests ... and you have a hammock strung between the coconut palms just outside your back door. Wander the orchards (our property has been organic since 1992). Pick fresh bananas ... and there's a macadamia nut tree right there too (we'll show you how to crack them). We're landscaped for maximum privacy, so you'll rarely see other people around. (But we're only a phone call away).
For your arrival, we greet you with gorgeous tropical flower arrangements, candles, a bottle of chilled chardonnay and some welcome goodies in the fridge. And of course, we're always happy to arrange something special by prior arrangement - eg in house chefs, masseuses etc.
We're fully licensed: (#BBPH 2009/0015) so when you book with us, you'll know your booking is totally secure.
As hosts, we take our cue from our guests, and respect your privacy. But we're on call 24/7 if ever you need us.
Honeymoon? We're the perfect spot!

About the neighborhood
Huelo Pt Lookout (Star Lookout) is situated down a quiet country road in 'Huelo' - once the site of a thriving Hawaiian village. (At the top of our road, the remnants of an ancient he'au may still be found). Though we have that 'away from it all' feel, we're only 15 minutes away from Haiku's great restaurants. There's also a small grocery store there which has everything you need (including plenty of parking). We're ideally situated for exploring the WHOLE ISLAND, as we're equidistant between Lahaina and Hana (both roughly 90 minutes driving time). Also accessible is our beautiful 10,000ft crater, Mt Haleakala ... not to mention the small towns of Pa'ia, Haiku and Makawao and MILES of beautiful white sand beaches. Here, you'll delight in small 'local style' towns - where 'real' peop...
