We spent 4 nights here after spending 4 nights in Princeville. It's true that the cottage is away from the tourist crowded areas of Kauai. It's also very close to Waimea Canyon, which is great. However, there aren't many restaurants to go to and Poipu is at least 30 minutes away. The house itself has plenty of space and is clean and cozy. It's also right down the street from the beach which is perfect for sunrises and sunsets. By far the worst aspect of the cottage is the noisy residents of the neighborhood. The people are quiet...the roosters and dogs are extremely loud. The roosters start cock a doodle dooing at 1am and don't stop all day. Impossible to get a good nights sleep. And when the dogs hear the roosters, they start barking. Probably nothing that the owners can do about this, but not ideal being woken up each night of your vacation.
