The condo is located right on the ocean and within walking distance to stores, shops and restaurants. The condo was well stocked with everything we could need for our stay on the island. We hope to have the opportunity to return to this condo again.

Great location great price
This was our second time staying in this condo and we have already signed up for next year. The location is perfect for our needs. Location ocean front and easy walking distance to shopping and dining. The condo isn't fancy and there is lots I would do if I owned it and had money. But we will keep coming back because we have not found any place that offers us all this offers. For the first time we had issues with one of our neighbors but that has nothing to do with the condo. People who must sleep with the TV on all night that kept us awake. A friendly note on their door minimized the issue so for the most part the rest of their stay we could sleep. Love the lanai. Whale watching everyday in the winter. Sunrise without leaving your condo. We had a day with 40mph wind gusts but the lanai was facing in a direction where we could still be out with out an issue. Perfect.

Mahalo for your review. We do agree that the location, central in Kapa'a town, walking distance to shops and restaurants and now on the walking/bike path is so ideal. The view for sure can't be beat. We look forward to seeing you next year and thank you for your business! aloha!

Great value for the money.
This is very homey place. It is sort of like staying at someone's house when they are not there. Beautiful view of the ocean off the large personal balcony. Be aware that there is no A/C, daily maid service or elevator. None of these "shortcomings" were an issue for us. We had 4 adults and one child staying here.

Relaxing
It was a great place to stay. The condo is well furnished and had lots of amenities. The only negatives are no beach to swim at and the couch needs to be replaced. We love the Kapaa area and all the restaurants that area available.

Wonderful
We had a great two week stay. The view is amazing. The accommodations are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and if you wanted to you could cook a whole meal. Quiet and close to so many t things. There is a multi-use path literally right at the entrance to the complex. The path goes North for 5 miles along the ocean. It is an easy 1 mile walk into central old town Kapaa. There is a pool, hot tub and grills. We did not use any of these but many other were taking advantage of these items. We have already booked our two weeks next year in the same unit. If you are looking for 5 star accommodations this is not it but for the price it is an amazing value. We had lots of rain while we were there and the lanai was a great place to hang out even when raining. Ocean surf, sunrise over the ocean right outside your door, what more could you ask for.

Average with Huge Potential
This condo is right on the ocean with an amazing view. It has everything anyone would need during their stay. The kitchen and kitchen supplies were very good. The pool and grounds are very nice. This condo could be outstanding and the lack of TLC is an issue. Any residence this close to the ocean needs frequent care to avoid some of the problems we observed. The ceiling fan in the loft needs replacing. It barely runs. The drain openings in the bathrooms need a good scrubbing, particularly the loft sink as it would not hold water for long. The loft windows have a bad build-up on them and I could not get them to open wider. The sliding door screen needs replacing and the sliding door lock has rusted through. The wireless Internet is terrible and calling the help line was not "help". They basically laughed about how common the problem is. This should be an easy fix and will take more than just turning it on an off. Take the time to address these simple maintenance issues and this could be a 5-star condo.

Mahalo for your review.
Kapaa Shore Resort is right on the ocean; with beautiful ocean views and yes you do get the constant sea sprays. Thank you for letting us know your concerns. Had we known about your issues during your stay, we would have been more than happy to send maintenance over. We will definitely take care of these issues you mentioned.

Location/view can't be beat; unit needs some TLC and reliable internet
We stayed @ 308 for 10 days in December 2013. We did a lot of research to get a unit right on the beach. The ocean views were spectacular and we loved hearing the waves all day long. The beach was not populated at all, due to the fact that it is not sandy/swimmable. right from the balcony: gorgeous sunsets/sunrises; and moonglow on the ocean at night! And being on the east coast makes an easy drive to either the north or south shore. The pool had recently been redone - very nice. Grounds were very nicely maintained. Very easy to walk to grocery stores, restaurants, shops, etc. Great having the washer/dryer in the unit.
The unit itself needs some TLC. Corroding bathroom fixtures, squeaky stairs to the loft, blinds that don't close in the downstairs bedroom; NO blinds in the upstairs bedroom; cheap patio furniture; uncomfortable beds. Kitchen marginally equipped. Overall the interior just didn't feel clean. Advertising that the unit has wireless is very misleading. You can barely connect to the main wireless and when you do, it doesn't work and tries to switch you to a different wireless, that doesn't work either. When we called Garden Island Properties about it not working, they laughed. There was only one bar of soap for two showers (?) and not enough toilet paper for two people for ten days. You also get a lot of street/condo noise in the downstairs bedroom as well as bright light from the condo exterior lights shining through the windows. Lots of sunlight shines into the loft bedroom since there are no blinds up there.

This Kapaa Shore Unit and Condo needs a facelift.
After lugging our luggage up 3 flights, we were shocked at our accommodations. Unit was very clean, but mostly out dated and no aC would have been an issue. The pictures look better than in person. Unit is small and narrow. June/July is hot and muggy. Trade winds were good, but you need to have cool winds and large windows.
Garden Island Properties stood by us and found another accommodation. We are sold on Garden Island Properties and how they are committed to their customers. Thanks

Mahalo for your review.
Kapaa Shore Resort is a very popular property more so with the newly constructed walking/bike path along the entire Kapa'a coastline; but no air conditioning like many of the properties that were built earlier. Once you open the bedroom windows and lanai doors, you do get a good cross ventilation flowing thorughout the unit. We were glad we were able to find you alternate accomodations.

Wonderful Oceanfront View - Watched Whales From Lanai Daily!
We had a wonderful stay March 28th through april 4th. Having a washer and dryer added to the convenience. The view was wonderful and we watched whales numerous times throughout the day from our lanai (priceless)! All the convenience of home (the kitchen is well equiped and we appreciated having extra items to use such as plastic wrap and foil. A full assortment of glassware including wine glasses and opener. Our daughter joined us and loved the unit too. We definitely will be back as the location was great and the unit was clean. The check-in and check-out was very easy too. I cannot say enough about what a great time we had. Thank You for all of the memories!!
