A secret house in a secret garden, the treehouse is a romantic perch in the rainforest for two to linger. There is a queen sized bed, cedar hot tub on the lanai, outdoor shower, food prep area, one bathroom with composting toilet, living room to relax & listen to music and watch videos or read and converse. The space is intimate and private, a playhouse for grownups. This is a real treehouse, a small space built mid canopy in the forest, overlooking tree ferns and almost eye level with the upper canopy. Contact us directly to book for ohana and kamaaina rates. These are not available through this booking platform. You can contact us through our Facebook page called Hawaii Treehouse or send us a message through this site. The treehouse was conceived as a honeymoon spot, and we also offer a pavilion in the rainforest for weddings, anniversary celebrations, tiki parties, and other special occasions. We've never stayed in a treehouse before, so this was very exciting for us. We stayed here for part of our honeymoon, and couldn't be happier that we chose this over one of the regular resorts at Volcano National Park. I would not recommend this...More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, especially with so many details. The red leather chairs - it seems we should point out that they can be rearranged into a love seat, with the ottoman large enough for both sets of feet....More

Treehouse. Bucket List. Fulfilled. It was magical. The property, from the moon gate to the winding path, to the diverse and fragrant orchids in the Ohia trees, to the magnificent tree house itself... utterly enchanting. Every detail was perfect. The tree house was an architectural...More

About the neighborhood
The neighborhood is heavily forested. You are aware there are neighbors, but signs of them are mostly like lanterns in the night. The treehouse is fairly deep in the forest, but not so deep as to be hard to walk to. There are restaurants and galleries nearby, and the big feature is Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The grounds of the house invite you stay and wander through, carry your morning coffee up to the pavilion and watch and listen to the forest. Parking is on site. You will need a car.
