About the neighborhood
This is a village of homes originally built to house the employees of the iconic Mauna Kea Hotel, built by Lawrence Rockafeller. The village nestles on a hillside with a panoramic and close view of the ocean. The village is above Kawaihae Road, which provides very close access to more than three world-class beaches, and nearby great restaurants and fish market. There is a parking space for the house right next to it, and additional spaces for visitor parking. The homeowner's association maintains a park with picnic tables and a play area, also with a view of the ocean and plumeria trees.
