You’ll love my place because of the spectacular views, wildlife, fishing, hiking and cozy cabin for your relaxation or for a romantic getaway. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). Space to park your snowmobile trailer and lots of trails nearby. Just up the road is a winter trailhead for the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. There is access to BLM land that is perfect for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The High Uinta Wilderness Area is also nearby. Lots of room for sleeping bags. And we have some available if you need them. - Kitchen with all appliances and fully equipped with dishes, utensils, cookware, and coffee maker. All you need is your own groceries. Family and pet friendly cabin in great location
My better half and I stayed in this cabin for two nights in January with our dog. We were greeted by Marianne, who not only showed us around and lit the heater for us, but brought us a plate of cookies and some dog treats. The cabin is heated by one fixed heater in the bathroom and a wood stove in the living room, which was ready to light when we arrived. Plenty of firewood was provided, so we kept the place toasty warm. There is one queen bed downstairs, one double upstairs, and one single bed in the open loft area. If you need more sleeping areas, there is a couch and lots of floor space in the living room. The kitchen was well-equipped, the appliances all worked, and everything was as-advertised. The cabin is not on the shore of the reservoir as the map implies, but it is within a few miles of the reservoir and the forest boundary, where you will find fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, and other exploring galore. The road to the cabin is maintained year-round, so you should not have any difficulty even in the winter, unless it is snowing heavily. The cabin would be a perfect choice if you are looking for some rustic family fun without TV, Internet, or other distractions. Curl up in front of the fire with some board games or books (both are provided) and rest from the day's adventures. For those of you who just have to talk to the outside world, there is a Verizon 3G phone signal a few miles up the road near cattle guard two. For emergencies, your gracious hostesses, Bettie and Marianne, live right next door and have phone service. We had fun "roughing it" in the woods and were very glad to be able to bring our dog. Bring your whole crew and unplug from the world for a few days - I think you will have a great time!

How to get there
SOME INTERNET MAPS AND MANY GPS SYSTEMS ARE INCORRECT. Go South on WY 414-S from Interstate 80 (Exit 39) to Mountain View ( 5.9 miles), turn right on WY-410 (second street). go 13.2 miles, turn left on County Road 271, go 9.7 miles. You can count the cattleguards on County Road 271 and the cabin is just past the 7th cattle guard.
