Criffel Lodge is a modern self catering chalet for up to 6 and is situated is a small group of 10 chalets in mature oak woodland next to Colvend golf course. Free WiFi. Great for families as Sandyhills beach is 10 minute walk away, and cliff top coastal walks take you round to Rockcliffe (get the bus back and leave the car at the lodge!). It's a haven for wild life and from the lodge its common to see red squirrels, badgers, deer, rabbits and a large range of woodland and coastal birds. There is ample room for 6 guests in one double and two twin rooms. An airy and bright open plan area for kitchen dining and lounge with sofa seating for 6.For mountain bikers, 7-Stanes Dalbeattie is just down the road and the lodge also makes a good location for road bike excursions. Up to 2 dogs are accepted subject to conditions (see house rules) and a £10 fee per dog. Bed linen is provided, but please provide you own towels. WiFi is provided and is as fast as we can get it, please note this may not be as fast as your home connection .
