We stayed here 4 nights in December and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very large and allows for numerous people to gather together as well as have their own space. There are two kitchens, with one being the main cooking kitchen while the older kitchen has the refrigerator and microwave. At times not the most convenient but we made it work. They are well equipped and we had several wonderful meals.
The main living space is truly incredibe, with numerous windows, huge fireplace and comfortable sitting area. The dining room table seats 10 and there are games along with a great record player we enjoyed. None of the fireplaces are operational.
The stairs are steep and the floors uneven with small steps or transitions that make it tricky to walk, especially in the dark. Bedrooms and baths are all nicely equipped with beautiful bedding and numerous towels. Two bedrooms are walk throughs, meaning to get to the end bedrooms you need to walk through these bedrooms.
Overall the house was very clean and provided everything we needed.
We enjoyed the yard despite a big snowstorm and sub zero temps, and the house stayed warm and was very comfortable. The walk from the driveway to the house is far and it was difficult to haul items back and forth.
The owner was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay.
We'd stay again and would definitely recommend this house.

House was a great staging place for us while we were in town doing an archaeological project for work. There was enough space in the house so that everyone could have their own space, and had plenty of room for food prep and family style meals. Outdoor spaces were great. Beautiful view. All in all a great place for us to spend 10 days. Homeowner was responsive when there were any questions.

This is the kind of house you just don’t get to st...
This is the kind of house you just don’t get to stay in anymore—with charm and quirks that modern homes can’t offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our adult grandchildren. The property was beautiful and the lake brings in cooler air that was much appreciated! We were able to have our nearby family come over for a BBQ, and they all loved it too. We played bocce ball in the yard, hooked up hammocks to relax by the lake, and enjoyed S’mores and the fire pit.
The house IS quirky, with uneven levels and narrow doorways; but isn’t an issue unless you’ve got someone prone to falling in your party. It was beautifully decorated and with a fan in the upstairs window, pulls in the cool evening lake air nicely.

Our family stayed in October Columbus Day weekend. Let’s just start out with the house. Gorgeous and so much character. It was the most cleanest rental we have ever stayed at. We rent vacation homes a few times a year and this was so what we needed. We played games and just relaxed to the sound of the lake. Toured the local attractions. Sheboygan had some really cool shops. And the owner Cherie was so sweet and a great rental property owner. Thanks for letting us relax and enjoy your beautiful home!! This would be s great home to have thanksgiving at. Highly recommend this home.

My family and I decided to stay here for Thanksgiv...
My family and I decided to stay here for Thanksgiving this year. Wow. The house and property were just awesome. And we were able to feel entirely at home on a holiday that is meant to feel like home. This was due to all of the amazing touches that are in the house.
The house is older - and full of character, with bizarre doors and hidden entrances.I have found that staying in older homes can have downsides. Not here. First, every inch of the home was sparkling clean. I mean, every corner, every nook and cranny. Impressive. We had all of the amenities we would need - and the kitchen was well stocked. Since I was preparing our Thanksgiving meal, I brought several things as I didn't know what to expect. I didn't need to do so. Pots, pans, spoons, serving pieces, glasses - everything. And amazing posters, record layer, interesting antiques and a book of synonyms from the 50s that came in handy playing scrabble.
The kitchen is a bit bizarre - it is laid out in 2 adjacent areas. But I ended up quite liking it. I could prep in one area - cook in another.
I also traveled with 2 teenagers. They were content as well. They found nearby places to hike and cozy spots to play games, get on devices (wifi was excellent), and just chill out.
For 4 days, I sat on the couch and porch and bedroom and looked out at the beautiful lake. It was chilly so we had a fire in the firepit one night. We hiked, we went into town for the Holiday parade, we ate at the Governors Tavern, we enjoyed just being away.
For us, this was the ideal spot.

My kids and I had such a memorable week at the Enc...
My kids and I had such a memorable week at the Enchanted Lake Estate. The home was very clean and inviting. We used our kayaks off the shore at the park just minutes away. We played mini golf. We walked to the lighthouse. And, we had two meals at the Lucky Bamboo which my kids insist was the best Chinese food they ever had! Cherie was always available and easy to reach. The home has all necessary amenities for a pleasurable and comfortable stay. We will definitely recommend The Enchanted Lake Estate to others. Thanks Cherie. Melissa

We enjoyed out time at your home it is very lovely...
We enjoyed out time at your home it is very lovely. My husband had developed back problems just a little while before our vacation so all the steps in various area of the home were a bit of a problem. We did enjoy the view and the fire pit. Overall we had a very pleasant time.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this property...
This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this property, it's really a wonderful place. We stayed the week of Christmas, so all the pictures of the beautiful yard were not really applicable, but it is still a very beautiful property and house.
there are 5 bedrooms, but 2 of these are walk thru's. Not a big deal since it was all family, but the pictures make it look like they are all private. The house is very large with plenty of space to spread out. there is a 3-season room, but we didn't use it since it was very cold.
the kitchen is good, although slightly on the small side. there are 2 kitchens so the fridge is in one and the range/stove in the other. again, it all works out. Plenty of linens and towels and the kitchen was fairly well stocked too.
The grounds are lovely to walk around even in the winter, and of course the lake is spectacular. the colors each day change and it's fun to watch or listen to at night.

We enjoyed our time on the property. It had a nice...
We enjoyed our time on the property. It had a nice view over the bluff of the lake, and surrounded by trees offered good privacy. The house was OK for our needs - but it is not a 5 bedroom house. Only 3 bedrooms are private, the other 2 are walk thru ( as listed, but easy to miss). The kitchen setup is very odd - the refrigerator is separate from the main stove and sink and general cooking area. Something we easily dealt with, but was a challenge to find hang out space during meal prep. Couldn't find the grill - would've been nice to have the option of cooking outside. Manitowoc is a nice town, but not exactly friendly to outsiders though (compared to other towns in Wisconsin we've visited). While we really enjoyed our getaway, it didn't feel like a great value (bang for the buck).
