"Up the mountain and back in time"

Historic Cabin at Gobblers' Knob, perched on a peaceful mountain top at the northern end of the Shenandoah Valley near Berkeley Springs, takes its name from the wild turkeys that roam on the property. My husband and I discovered this jem over ten years ago. We come back every year just after Christmas and leave just before New Years. This is our spot to relax, unwind and reenergize for the coming year. Between the mountain setting and the historic cabin you feel as though you have stepped back in time and are able to...

This was the perfect weekend escape. Perfectly clean and well maintained wooden cabin with plenty of space, a fireplace, a large whirlpool tub, in an idyllic location. Back porch to relax with a view on the woods and the mountains. 10 minutes from downtown Berkeley Springs. The owner was very nice. She left a lot of information about what to...

What a treasure! What an amazing 4 days - so quiet and peaceful - like taking a step back in time. The cabin is a great value and the customer care was first-class. The owners are fantastic - it seems there is nothing they haven't thought of to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The history and realism achieved adds...

About the neighborhood
The cabin sets at the northern end of the Shenandoah Valley atop a knob snuggled between Cacapon Mountain and Sleepy Creek Mountain.
Indian Run and Sleepy Creek meander nearby through working farms that produce corn and hay. It is secluded, heavy forested and quiet. At night
due to the absence of city lights, the stars provide a dazzling display with The Milky Way being the main attraction.
