Pocket harbor and boat launch are across the driveway and nearby islands within view. Easy beach access in two directions The fireplace room has a view of Point Hudson Harbor and Mount Baker. It's kitchen gives you the luxury of spa sink, full sized new refrigerator, full size cooktop and oven, a separate entrance from kitchen to waterside porch and no one to share it with. The bath offers both tub and shower and is between the two bedrooms furnished with new Sterns and Fosters Queen mattress., viewing the hidden side of the cottage backed by a small meadow where deer, even otter frequent. This private setting is anchored gently in a wave of pine and fir trees facing the saltwater inlet. It's elegant backdrop is the historic bell tower, Victorian architecture, activity of Centrum concerts, Rose theater and fine dining. Soft high quality cotton bedding, and barefoot interior blurs together to rock you back in time and make you take a generous serving of recess for yourself. Not your run of the web lodging. If this cottage could go barefoot it would show you how to step softer and slower and turn up the hush. If this house could stoke its' own fire, ribbons of flames would dance and forget about the chilly wind which can jingle the rigging in winter. If ship lap siding could smile, these would pose a little crooked if you zoom into the details on your photo files. If this space speak it would prompt you to decide on a lighthearted getaway with some days of recess to relax; If a cottage could breathe it would pulse with the steady racing breezes that Admiralty Inlet is known for... It's gentle rocking or surf pounding storms alike. it may say, 'remember to ask about square footage, comfy new beds, & firelight. Peace and playful notes resonate through these bare oak floors with their firelit sheen. New mattresses, lovely quilts, a few exquisite highlights Make me yours for a spell and you won't regret it. Interaction with guests
We do not live on the property. You do have your privacy once settled in. Greeting in person is necessary to give a brief tour and opportunity to answer questions pertaining to enjoyment of the cottage or attractions of our area. I am available if you need help, however our attentions are not room service, such as ice. It is YOUR vacation, not ours so after this short introduction, you may not see us except in passing. We absolutely must water or tend to yard in Summer but it is pretty close to your summer place if you wish to invite friends for short term entertainment.

We adore most of our guests!~ This took some imagination to write. Our expectations are gentle. I personally showed them the firecracker red recycle bin, found it empty when they left with a bag of mixed diapers & McDonalds recyclables. Our cute Disney soaps for...More

About the neighborhood
in a timeless postcard setting facing a jaunty fleet of wooden small craft and yachts. A private hideaway just 25' from the waters edge on a sundrenched, corner. Downtown ammenities begin just a block close. The neighborhood is a working seaport of boatbuilders, sailmakers, ailing classes for all ages can be arranged by the week or a one time session Kayak rentals or guided tours are a summer treat in the shallows of local waters. There's something to do here every day, all year round. Hope you find more to add to the list of charms. The absolute saltyest activity someone who has not often been around the ocean can do, is visit the Port Townsend Marine Science Center along the beach at Fort Worden. You can dip your hands into petting tanks, see native swimmers close up or delig...
Getting around
We have two State Parks nearby and a third across the inlet to Whidbey Island, Fort Warden, a quick drive or beach hike away. Fort Townsend, just outside the city limits is Port Townsends' own 200 year old growth forest. Visit Fort Casey on Whidbey Island via ferryboat and find the flatest, most scenic bike riding in Washington, famlands, wineries, shorelines, lighthouse.
