This beautiful mountain house sleeps six to eight easily: with two master bedroom suites, each with a king-size bed, large bathroom suite and flat screen TV's. Perfect for a couple who wants to have a nice spacious place for a get-a-way, and equally perfect for two families due to size and the lay-out of the house. Have an infant or toddler? We have all the basic amenities (in a separate closet) you need so you won't have to bring them - e.g. pack-n-play; bouncy seat; infant tub; high-chair; toys, strollers, DVD's etc. The place is also appropriate for those requiring extra assistance in accessing and getting around in the house (i.e. with stairs/steps). The main level is huge and has all the main rooms/amenities on that level (master bedroom and bath; laundry room; living room; dining room; kitchen and deck).The first master bedroom, located on the first floor, is stunning with a beautiful six piece cherry wood bedroom set. It has cathedral ceilings both in the room and master bathroom suite. This bedroom has a separate access to the deck with gazebo. Master bedroom has TV and DVD player.
The second master bedroom suite/bath, located on the second level, is beautifully decorated with oriental rugs. It has a small balcony and a sizeable sitting/reading area. The third bedroom, also located on the second floor, has two twin beds and separate bathroom. The beds can be joined to make it into a king bed if requested. This third room also have a flat screen TV. The second floor has a large loft area suitable for children to play around and even have a sleepover/campout. There is also a sofa bed available on the main level to give you room for eight, if required. All bedrooms, living room and kitchen area have wood ceiling fans. The house has an enclosed garage which is perfect for winter weather. We have a very large mudroom which is perfect to store all your ski and/or golf equipment, suitcases etc. The living area is this rental's real highlight! With a large open living room, wood burning fireplace (perfect for S'mores), entertainment center, a DVD/VHS library selection with over 100+ movies(includes a great DVD/VHS selection for children) and over 20 board games/puzzels - you'll be living in Mountain Luxury! Our book library has a selection of 'classic' books. We have firewood at the house for our guests all year round. We even have some exercise equipment and a Foosball table.The adjacent dining area seats six comfortably. With additional bar stool chairs at the kitchen, you can acoomodate more guests. On any warm or cool evening you may also enjoy dinner on the large deck with gazebo. Our patio furniture sits up to eight people. The well-equipped kitchen offers a full complement of cookware and appliances including a microwave, four-burner stove and oven, coffeepot, waffle maker; blender and more. We also have a grill for outside cooking.We offer amenities like shampoo; conditioner; soap; dishwasher detergent; hairdryers, laundry detergent etc. We have premium coffee, tea and hot chocolate for our guests. We provide those to our guests along with 400+ thread count bed linens and white bath towels. Also provided include paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper etc.Located on top of the mountain and on the Devil's Knob Golf Course, we are down the street from the Devil's Knob Golf Course, Clubhouse and restaurant, as well as indoor/outdoor tennis courts. It is a short distance to the ski slopes, the Wintergarden Spa and Fitness Center, the Nature Center and there are many hiking trails nearby.We have been renting our place since Oct 2008 and our guests who has stayed at our place have really liked it. They say the pictures don't do the place justice!

Very spacious home in a beautiful setting. Wonderful deck with view of golf course.
So much provided by the owner [ paper towel, napkins, toilet paper, etc. ]. Enjoyed the wineries in the area. Was a great place for three couples to get together and relax.

Perfect family vacation getaway.
My wife and I are from Michigan and were looking for a central location to get together with our son, daughter-in-law, daughter, and 2 year old grandson who all live in Washington DC. We wanted a place in the mountains to avoid the DC heat. This house was perfect, located at the crest of Wintergreen Resort and was 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the flatlands. There was plenty of room in the house and activities for everyone. My son and I golfed; the women enjoyed the spa, my grandson loved the playground facilities and we all enjoyed the pools and Lake Monocan. Access to the house was easy and check in and check out times were flexible. All in all, a great four days and we hope to return.

Girls weekend getaway
I recently rented this home for a bachelorette weekend for a friend who is more the outdoors type then the Vegas type. It was close to our home in Northern Virginia ~3 hours away and a beautiful, spacious house. We were a group of 8 and fit comfortably. We could have just spent the time relaxing in the home that was equipped with movies, relaxing spaces, fireplace, grill, but the resort has so many activities to offer as well. There is ziplining and summer tubing (reservations are a must in advance), many hiking trails, a lake nearby, outdoor and indoor pools, and a spa. There are also many restaurants to choose from depending on your preference, casual to more formal. We really could have spent a whole week there, weekend was not enough. The house itself was well kept, the owner was great, check in and out was convenient and extended upon request, getting in and out of the house was easy. The owner checked in frequently and was readily available to answer any questions. Would definitely stay again, but for longer! Some of the girls in the group even remarked that it would be a great place to vacation with their families this summer/fall. Price was also competitive with other rental properties and definitely more economic then the resort rentals

Mountain Resort in Va
Cozy ski getaway or family retreat. Soaring wood ceilings and stone fireplace; huge windows. Lovely views of lush green lawn and several tall trees. Peaceful and quiet. Huge kitchen and dining area, full amenites, and very clean. You will love it! It is also perfect for 2-3 couples with 3 1/2 baths and 3 private bedrooms. The master suite is gorgeous!

Great vacation house
We stayed here during the week of July 4th and can't say enough good things about this place. While our neighbors sweated through a sweltering heat wave without power, we enjoyed a comfortable, cool week in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. Wintergreen has loads of activities to offer. Hiking and swimming as well as some great rounds of golf. Besides the great location the house is very spacious and well equipped. Everything one could want for a relaxing vacation. Our kids really enjoyed the movies, games and puzzles left for the guests and my wife and I loved reading on the large deck. We would gladly stay here again.

Weekend away
I went to Wintergreen with my family and friends and we had an incredible time at this lovely house. The house is absolutely stunning, the pictures on the website don't do it justice. The bedrooms are elegant and the living/family area is huge with enough room for everyone in your family/group. The owners of the house have done an incredible job making the house look great and they provide all the amenities you can imagine...so many things that you don't have to pack to bring on a trip. And there is also so much to do at the house - Wii Game; X-Box/Kinect; FoosBall; 100+ movies, board games, a library of books and even toys for children to play with. The house is perfect for a family together, a girl's weekend, a romantic get-away. It's also perfect for 2-3 set of couples, where each couple has their own bedroom and bathroom. I can't imagine a better place to stay as it is in a popular area of the Wintergreen Resort. The house has everything and we can't wait to go back!

Mother/Daughter Weekend
My mother and I stayed here for a weekend away, and we had an amazing time. The house is gorgeous with a huge spacious living room for sitting and relaxing. The backyard deck is also a good place to relax with a glass of wine and a good book. The backyard backs right up to the golf course which provides a good view. The house was very neat and clean when we arrived and almost everything we could possibly need was provided for us. There were plenty of towels, and all the showers had shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel. The close proximity to all the hiking trails were really what did it for me. Not to mention the amazing views. I can't wait to come back for ski season! We had an great and enjoyable experience here and encourage others to do the same! I highly recommend this rental to everyone. :)

Wintergreen is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our house is located in a very popular area on the resort grounds. We are located on the third fairway of the mountain golf course, near the golf club house, tennis courts and the Wintergreen Spa/Fitness Center. We are one mile from the black slopes at Wintergreen and a 3-4 min drive to the main slopes. There is parking at our house and we even have a garage which is perfect for winter months.
