Upstairs, you’ll find two charming bedrooms with king and queen sized beds. These two bedrooms share a marble bathroom, featuring a walk-in shower reminiscent of a luxury hotel. Molton Brown products, Egyptian cotton sheets and Matouk towels are provided for your comfortable stay.
Fling open the sunroom doors onto the deck and enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountain view. Take advantage of the outdoor furnishings for a lovely outdoor meal and take the opportunity to grill if you so choose. Be sure to toast the magnificent sunsets.

I will be on property initially to greet you and familiarize you with the cottage and will provide you with the access code so you may come and go as you please. Although I do not live on the property, I do have a Manager who has a separate entrance to the property that may assist incase of emergencies.

Issues that influenced our experience at Le Fay Cottage
Although the Cottage is lovely, and the location and views are exceptional there are several issues that influenced our lower rating:
1. I searched for 2 days to find a rental for our 2 day stay that was pet friendly. The information on the website Tripadvisor in the Overview of this rental property stated:

2. I made the reservation with the impression that we would be able to take our pet. I made the reservation and paid the bill. Over a month later I received a welcome letter from Ms. Sally-Anne Andrew to learn that pets were not allowed! I was able to find someone to keep our dog for the visit. I have no issues with Ms Andrew’s pet policy. After staying at her beautiful Cottage, I agree that pets should not be allowed. I am pleased to see that when I just viewed her new website that the pet policy has been corrected to indicate no pets. That being said, the misleading pet policy on the website I used to make my reservation indicated the cottage was pet friendly that caused us great stress in trying to locate someone near our home o keep our dog so we could keep our reservation.
3. Supplies did not include:
a. Tissues
b. Only ¼ roll of paper towels
c. Only 1 wash cloth and nothing else to wash with in the slower
4. Serious tick problems. Being aware of this concern, we were only on the deck and walked back and forth to our van on the stone path. We received 4 tick bites and found ticks throughout the cottage.
5. We would suggest a grab bar for safety in the upstairs shower

Perfect Cottage & Wedding Venue in the Blue Ridge Mountains
LeFay Cottage at Little Washington and the word "magic" must be synonymous! My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway from the noise of the DC metro area and came across LeFay Cottage online. It looked so different from places we normally stay in Shenandoah - there was something enchanting and romantic about this cottage located in Washington, Virginia, and I knew we had to visit!
Our stay was everything we could have dreamt of and more. I was in awe the moment we drove up to the cottage and through the iron gates at the sight of ancient Christmas trees perfectly aligned with the crown of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Upon entering the cottage, we were amazed at the cleanliness and exquisite selection of furnishings, decor, and amenities, including all the lavendar products, to make the stay all the more magical. Inside, the cottage looks like a styled scene out of Southern Living magazine!
We poured a glass of wine, and even in the winter, found ourselves sitting outside taking in the views and the sweet scent of lavendar filling the air.
A few miles away is the Inn at Little Washington, along with many other fine-dining establishments, wineries, art galleries, and everything you can imagine for the outdoor enthusiast.
Sally-Anne has outdone herself with this cottage, making it a special place for couples to come relax, a girls weekend retreat, or bachelorette party!
Even better, the venue is perfectly setup for an indoor or outdoor wedding on any spot of her 5 acres, including the enchanting and unique Love Lavendar field she has created. Thank you, Sally-Anne! We are already itching to return!

Comfortable Cottage
LeFay Cottage had everything we needed for a quiet, relaxing mid-week family getaway - stocked kitchen (including coffee and cream), a propane grill, board games, and luxurious touches in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything was clean, and the shabby chic decor is charming. The outdoor setting is quiet and beautiful, with horses for neighbors. It’s a nice central location from which to explore Little Washington, wineries, hiking trails, and a trip to Luray Caverns!

Home Away From Home
The enchanted cottage has all you need to make you feel immediately at home - a well equipped kitchen, BBQ on the deck and fantastic views of the Shenandoah NP and Old Rag. I spent lazy afternoons in the hammock reading and enjoying the surroundings. The owner has attention to detail and nothing was amiss. Will stay there soon again !

Enchanted stay
What a unique and pleasant stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this cute cottage. We lacked for nothing - all the essentials were there. Even on a drizzly day we were satisfied to cozy up inside with a cup of tea and Downton Abbey. You can tell from the well-planned decor that this home is full of lots of love. Hope to stay again next time we're in town.

Le Fey Cottage
Le Fey Cottage was a perfect getaway experience. It looks like a little English cottage tucked away in the mountains yet close enough to superb restaurants and elegant craft shops. I can't wait for my next visit there!

Great location!
This house is very private but yet in the midst of wonderful small wineries, upscale as well as casual restaurants and Shenandoah National park. The property is beautiful...lovely spot.

Lovely Stay
My mom, my sister and myself spent 3 nights at the cottage and had a wondefdul stay. We were met at the property and walked through all the particulars. The hostess has tea for us and the cottage was clean and comfortable. The linens and towels are great quality and the place is quiet and peaceful. We would book again.

The perfect place for relaxing ever!!
We stayed three days And it was the best days on my trip I really enjoyed dealing with Sally Anne she is so awesome and flexible she provide The best kind of Bath soups shampoo ,Lotion and body wash also coffee tea and spices actually her kitchen was perfect for cooking all you need it’s provided by her the house was very safe very clean I will definitely come again there are all kinds of games for the family also she bought some toys for my little sister she was so cute The house was furniture very well as an England style all of her furniture was good and clean Is it better than staying in a five-star hotel definitely it’s worth 10 stars as what is on TripAdvisor And booking if there is more than 10 /10 I’ll definitely give it !!

Perfect place for a ladies or couples getaway!
Set in a beautiful area near several quaint villages, LeFey Cottage has all the amenities of home and is tastefully decorated with antiques in English country style. Sally Anne, the owner, greeted us when we arrived to acquaint us with the cottage and to provide us with information about the area. It is within a easy driving distance to the Skyline Drive overlooking the Shenandoah Valley, numerous wineries and fabulous restaurants. What a great weekend we had!

Beyond the cottage grounds, the beautiful surrounding countryside offers adventure, romance, and discovery. Fine restaurants include the world-renowned Inn at Little Washington which is nearby. Browse the local boutiques, discover treasures in a local antique shop, experience luxurious spa treatments, sample the cheeses and other local products offered from dozens of local organic farmers. Challenge yourself with a hike up White Oak Canyon in Shenandoah National Park or fly-fish in the Rappahannock River. LeFay Cottage is situated within a short drive of many of Virginia’s finest wineries, breweries, and whiskey distillers. The Little Washington Winery, Gadino Cellars and Quievremont Wines are all nearby.
Getting around
Just a 90 minute drive from Washington, D.C., the property is located on a private road in beautiful Virginia wine country just off 211. It is approximately a 40 minutes drive to Charlottesville and 90 minutes to Richmond.
Nearby destinations to the Cottage include antique shops, boutiques, a spa, and several restaurants, you are also surrounded by scenic hiking and biking trails. Civil War sites and many outdoor activities, including white water rafting, canoeing, fishing, Skyline Drive National Park, horseback riding, boarding, polo lessons, golfing, ATV adventures, zip lining, and hot air balloon rides.
