Not Up to Standards in a beautiful building
These are brand new apartments and we have stayed in this building twice before and loved it. Great location, garage, touchless elevator, very clean building; all inspire confidence during this Pandemic which is why we rented here instead of going to a hotel. Unfortunately, we chose Luxury Zone instead of Global or Churchill Living for our 3d stay because of the lower price and cancellation policy. This turned out to be a mistake. The apartment, number 1015, though newish with great views, is not quality controlled as are the other ones. We arrived to find the freezer crammed with ice, birthday cake, peas and pizza. There was diaper cream and other debris under the sofa and TV in the living room. The kitchen pantry was full of dirty towels on the floor as well as old condiments (and a condom). Christmas decorations filled the kitchen drawers. The front hall closet was storing personal belongings and should have been locked. Pillows were old, thinly stuffed, without a cover over the ticking, and ragged pillow cases in the second bedroom. Churchill Living has dressers with small TV’s in each bedroom. These bedrooms were bare bones. No dresser, no TV. Before Covid, I would not have thought anything of it, but the bathrooms contained large, pump operated shampoo and body wash instead of individually wrapped amenities. There were no extra pillows (which we sorely needed). Blankets and sheets were balled up in the bedroom closets. We found the dishwasher full (for us to empty) and the dryer full of towels (which we had to fold and put away. There is a Keurig in the kitchen but coffee K-cups had not been replaced. If we had not been fully vaccinated, we would have walked out. As it is, we cleaned up what we were ok touching and stayed for the holiday weekend. This unit is new but not cleaned to a Covid or CDC standard. It is not furnished to a luxury standard either. Texts and phone calls to Luxury Zone produced no response.
I would highly recommend other apartments in this Signature Building, sublet through Churchill Living, which provides on site service if anything is amiss.
