The large recently renovated luxury bathroom has twin washbasins, toilet and Hans Grohe rainshower. Patio doors open onto the terrace garden with its lovely view, quality patio furniture and Gas BBQ. Chalet Halten also offers use of a table tennis table, two mountain bikes, underground garage parking as well as a ski room, use of a shared washing machine and tumble drier without additional charge.

Cosy, stylish & comfortable chalet in a beautiful location
Everything about Chalet Halten feels warm and welcoming - as soon as we arrived we felt very at home. The chalet is so well-equipped on a practical level but also tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable . The bathroom is hotel-smart with an excellent shower and the newly-fitted kitchen has everything you could possibly need for your stay - including a nespresso machine. Super-cosy on chilly evenings and a lovely outdoor terrace to enjoy breakfast on sunny mornings. We also received lots of great travel tips and advice from Trudy, the host before our trip. The location is also great, an easy 10 minute walk down into Zweisimmen or the train station ( walking back uphill makes up for any over-indulgence!) We can’t wait to return to this stunning location and would thoroughly recommend staying here!

Home away from home
Chalet Halten is a really amazing place to stay. It is brilliantly equipped and feels incredibly homely as soon as you step through the door. It is brilliant situated for skiing if there is sufficient snow to ski in/out, otherwise it is easy to drive to one of the local ski lift paid car parks. Ski hire is just down the hill, and it is much cheaper to book on the internet than walk in. The property is really spacious and has some lovely touches like Nespresso coffee, an honesty drinks rack, brand new bathroom and a great selection of DVDs and games to play. Trudy, the owner, is fantastic in getting back to you, often within hours and always by the following day. The visitors guide she has prepared is really good. All in all, an excellent find and highly recommended.

Fabulous
Just spent a fabulous week in this chalet. It’s a home from home, with throws, cushions, candles etc. I imagine in the winter it’s cozy but in the summer it’s light, airy and the outside terrace is a real treat as it’s large with table, chairs, sunloungers, fire pit and bbq and it’s private. There are so many things to see and do in and around the area. The scenery is unbelievable (this was our first time in Switzerland). The owner, Trudy, is fantastic - she emailed me lots of information and then posted some more leaflets on things to see and do. She is very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this chalet.

Brilliant Easter skiing break
A truly lovely holiday at Chalet Halten - four days of amazing skiing - the snow was great with fresh powder on two days, and the chalet is so convenient for the piste. It was very warm and comfortable in the chalet with everything we could wish for, not least emergency supplies as we arrived on good Friday when all the shops are shut! Would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful chalet for winter holidays
We stayed at Chalet Halten for New Year's Eve and it was a wonderful experience. The apartment is incredible and feels like home. The chalet is very cosy, clean and comfortable. The apartment is equipped with everything. We didn’t had trouble at all. Skiing is very close from this location, 15 minutes walking to the top and Gstaad is 20 minutes with the car. We would definitely come back and we recommend it 100%.

Un autentico chalet suizo
Decorado maravillosamente y muy cuidado. Tiene todas las comodidades incluido un garaje para el coche. Muy cómodo y bien equipado. Está a un paso de Gstadd, pero el propio pueblito es un encanto. Un lugar para desconectar pero muy cerca de interlaken. Preciosas carreteras. El apartamento tiene un pequeño jardín precioso. La cocina está perfectamente equipada y todo es muy fácil. Las habitaciones no son grandes pero están muy bien aprovechadas. La propietaria es absolutamente encantadora y lo hizo todo muy sencillo. Gracias Trudy!

Ski heaven in cosy chalet
A beautifully well equipped and stylishly furnished chalet on the side of the Rinderberg ski slope. Ski on and off the slope to the chalet (or a very short walk if the snow has melted) Ample storage space in the ski store for skis and boots to dry. The chalet is warm and cosy with beautiful mountain views. The mountain range accessible from zweisimmen offers amazing skiing, and we also travelled the short train ride to Lenk to ski there - more miles of piste than you can do in a day. For March the snow was excellent and the skies were blue. A choice of beautiful restaurants for lunch in the mountains, and deckchairs in the snow for a cool beer. A day touring the sights of Gruyere, Lake Geneva, and Geneva old town was such fun. The owners are an absolute pleasure and can't do enough to make your stay as good as it can be.

Perfect Holiday Place
We had a great stay at Chalet Halten, Zweisimmen. The house is fully equipped and well-maintained, and it is located very close to the Zweisimmen station. Landlord is very friendly, has provided very good details about the near place.

Great and lovely accommodation for a Summer holiday
My wife and I had an amazing time at Chalet Halten I resist the use of the word "cozy" because it might convey a "small in size" mental image (which the chalet definitely isn't), but we felt so very at home and comfortable there. We found the Chalet very clean and well kept, the facilities on offer are well maintained and of good quality: from kitchen appliances, to the bathroom, the BBQ in the veranda and the TV/AV system. All exchanges with the Owners were clear, friendly and helpful. Being able to comfortably host a couple of visiting friends for a night during our stay was also a bonus. On the down side: having access to a large collection of DVD's in the chalet meant we didn't go out much in the evenings to explore the village ;) To summarise, we had a fantastic time in Chalet Halten and we'll definitely come back.

WinterChalet Halten is located at 1050m, adjacent to the Rinderberg piste and offers excellent ski to the door accommodation (conditions permitting) within walking distance of the village centre and amenities. A snow free car in the garage is a bonus too!The Gstaad/Zweisimmen ski area offers 53 lifts & 220km of skiing to suit all abilities at upto 3000m (60% of main slopes covered by snowmaking, including the Rinderberg piste down to the village). As well as two snowparks the sector offers the Rinderberg Ronda circular route and night skiing. The children's snow village is 300m away and passes for those 9 and under are free. Register free with www.skiline.cc and evaluate your performance on the slopes via your skipass. Looking for even more variety? The Lenk-Adelboden region is 15 mins away and Villars /Diablerets 40 minutes . Alternative winter sports include, sledging (two available for guests), ice skating, dog sledding, sleigh rides, paragliding, heliskiing and snowshoeing to mention just a few. There are numerous mountain bars and restaurants, including the snow bar of the iglu village at Saanenmoser. Although quiet, Zweisimmen offers a range of bars and restaurants, whilst chic nightlife is to be found in Gstaad.SummerThe choice of activities is endless, from white water rafting to paragliding and rock climbing. The world's highest alpine coaster at Glacier 3000 offers enough thrills and spills for the most demanding teenager! Sporting opportunities include, a high rope park and swimming in the open air pool both a five minute walk, tennis (within 300m), mountain and electro biking (free use of bikes is included), golf etc etc. Through out the summer the cable car system offers a gentle panoramic ride up into the mountains for all to enjoy. The Gstaad area hosts numerous international events including, the Allianz Suisse Open tennis tournament, the Hublot Polo Gold Cup, the Swatch Beach Volleyball World Cup and the international Menhuin Music festival.Lake Thun and Interlaken with its swimming, paddle steamers, and views of the Monch, Eiger and Jungfrau are less than 40 minutes away, the choice is yours!

Zweisimmen is approximately 2 hours by car from Geneva, Basel and Zurich airports or 1 hour from Bern airport. The chalet is less than a 10 minute walk or 2 minutes by taxi from the station with its excellent rail connections,making a car unnecessary.There are train stations within both Geneva and Zurich airports Alternatively by road the chalet is 550 miles from Calais. The following airlines fly to one of the above airports from the UKEasyjet, BA,Swiss,Jet 2,Air France and Air Berlin
