Casa Xeric is a contemporary style detached 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with private pool located in the Cala Montgo area, a small bay on the southern side of L´Escala. The garden and pool have a south west orientation making the house bright all day long right up until sunset. It is only a short walk (350m) to the sandy beach of Cala Montgo. The house is split over two floors, with the entrance hall, garage, bedrooms 2 & 3 and main bathroom (containing a walk in shower) on the ground floor. A spiral staircase leads down to the lower ground floor, master bedroom and en-suite (bath/shower), lounge, kitchen, dining areas and out to terraced areas and swimming pool. Emplacement idéal.
Second séjour à montgo et l'emplacement est vraiment idéal : 5 min de la plage, du pain frais et d'un petit supermarché. Maison bien conçue, propre, avec tout le confort nécessaire. Petit bémol : la terrasse convient à 6 personnes maximum, pas accessible à 8. Merci à Jonathan pour son accueil et sa gentillesse !! On va revenir !!

Excellente maison avec piscine à quelques mètres de la plage
Maison très agréable en proximité de la plage et de commodités. Avec les conditions sanitaires actuelles, la ville est très calme mais ce fut d’autant plus agréable et secure.

Vistas espectaculares, tranquilidad y relax.
La casa está bien equipada, tal y como se describe. Muy tranquila la zona y con unas vistas preciosas. A menos de 5 mins andando de cala Montgó. Supermercado a 3 mins andando con precios correctos.
Muy buena atención de Jonarhan.

Casa Xeric
Our family including two teenage boys had a lovely stay in Ponto Montgo. Casa Xeric was fabulous with beautiful views and a great pool. There were facilities nearby with some lovely restaurants and a supermarket. The boys enjoyed Kayaking, snorkelling and cliff jumping during our stay. There was an open air train to take you along the coast too.

Très belles prestations, beau quartier belle vu. Le propriétaire est très sympathique.
Petit bemole sur les nombreuses marches de la maison pas très simple pour les tous petit ainsi que la petite terrasse pas adapté pour 8 personnes. Séjour très agréable.

Comfortable Villa with good amenities
I stayed at Casa Xerric with four friends in late April. The villa was clean and just as described on Tripadvisor .
There are several restaurants within walking distance and a local supermarket was due to open very soon.
Jonathan was very helpful with tips about the area and was also very easy to contact by phone upon arrival.

Tres bon accueil. Bonnes prestations de la maison.les chambres grandes avec des grands placarts 2 salles de bain bien appreciables. Bien située à côté de la plage et des commerses terrasse un peu petite.

Great location, few minutes walk to beach and shops, comfortable villa with lovely pool and great views.
We had a fantastic holiday at Casa Xeric. Great villa with lovely views and walking distance to beach, bars and supermarket. Jonathan is a brilliant host - brimming over with local knowledge and couldn't have been more helpful. Good base for visiting Empuries beaches, lots of medieval villages and Figueres. Highly recommended.

Great Villa in perfect location - ideal family holiday
A great stay for young and old alike. Location was stunning, and everything we needed was nearby. Pool was enjoyed by all at all hours, and the property was perfect for what we needed.
All instructions were great, and some great tips on local activities and venues were given.

About the neighborhood
L´Escala is a small fishing town (famous for the best anchovies in the Mediteranian) to the north east of Catalunya on the southern edge of the Bay of Rosas, surrounded by sandy beaches. The Greeks and Romans both created their first settlements on the Spanish peninsula here in L´Escala at Empuries and for that reason the Olympic flame was landed here during the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.<BR><BR>Nowadays the area is a place the middle class Catalans would really like to keep as a secret for themselves, but independent holiday makers are starting to discover its charm. Cala Montgo is truly a wonderful place to stay with a beautiful sandy beach (Casa Xeric is 350m away), shallow water and craggy rocks running down both sides of the cove, providing lots of interesting places to explore and inlets to snorkel. The bay is bordered by pine covered natural park to the south covering thousands of hectares and L´Escala and many more wonderful beaches to the north. <BR><BR>During your stay you will also find there is a huge amount you can do including watersports for all levels, golf, cycling both on and off road, horse riding, ballooning et, or for those wanting to delve into Catalan culture there are lots of museums and places of interest locally including the Greek and Roman ´Ruins D´Empuries´, the museum of Salt, and not forgetting Salvador Dali´s ´Teatre-Museu` and his house which is now itself a fabulous museum.

How to get there
L´Escala is easily accessed from all over Europe by Plane, Train and Car. There are 3 airports within 1hr 45mins drive, the nearest being Girona (45mins drive), which is now a key Ryanair hub serving the whole of Europe. Perpignan airport (1hr 15mins drive) also being served by Ryanair and Air France, not forgetting Barcelona airport (1hr 45mins) which is served by most of the large airlines including BA, Easyjet, Iberia, Lufthansa, KLM etc.<BR><BR>The nearest Train station is Flaça (25mins drive) which is situated on the main line between Barcelona and Cervere (the French border) making high speed train travel from Paris, London, Brussels etc. simple.<BR><BR> L´Escala is located 20km from the AP7 motorway (the motorway connecting Barcelona to France) and is well signposted making self-drive very straightforward. Tthe driving time to Calais / Brussels is approximately 13-14hrs. A car is advised for this location; however, it is not essential as supermarket and local facilities are very close( 200/300 metres). During summer months a tourist road train (carrilet) runs from Montgo to St Marti D´Empuries at the other end of L´Escala (6km).
