Enriched by this market on Saturday mornings throughout the year and the many markets that are followed throughout the year, antiques, flowers, arts, and traditional wine festival that takes place the first week of September.
We are at the center of the small town of Greve, in the famous square 'triangular', surrounded by arcades full of old shops and typical Tuscan restaurants. The apartment, with its beautiful terrace and cool rooms will be your home in Chianti, to spend quiet days and cool summer evenings.
Greve is a small village considered the 'Porta del Chianti'. From here you will have easy and convenient access to the most famous streets that will lead to Volterra, Siena, Monteriggioni and San Gimignano. Siena is just 30 minutes away, as well as the center of Florence, also a 30-minute drive away.
Greve is the capital of Chianti and offers frequent bus connections to Florence.
We stayed here for 4 nights and truthfully the only redeeming quality was the terrace overlooking the square. The kitchen and bathroom could do with an update and clean! Mound in the shower. The owner needs to spend some money on this property and invest in some basic kitchen ware including some new dining ware and glasses. And some new towels! Another thing needed was to get the property fumigated as it had cockroaches!!!

Excellent Stay in Greve
If you are looking for a location in Chianti to make your home, then this is it. Patrizia was very easy to work with for the reservation. Was waiting for us when we arrived in Greve. The apartment is very clean, located in the heart of the Piazza. We highly recommend La Catina and Ristorante Del Moro in Greve for dinner. Cafe Le Logge across the Piazza is a great place to get your breakfast pastries and cappuccino. Patrizia was very responsive when we discovered the washer did not work though she was unable to repair it before we left. We did find laundromat very close by to do our wash. Grocery store is close by. You can visit Sienna and other hill towns easily if you have a car. Our only recommendation would be to have WiFi for the apartment. It did make it difficult to plan our day of sightseeing with the spotty access from the nearby restaurant. Overall a great experience. Thank you Patrizia!

Great location and lovely apartment
This apartment is right on the city center square - the balcony provides a wonderful place to sit and have dinner or just drink a glass of wine and people watch. There is plenty of room for two people to relax and enjoy the Chianti wine country. It is within walking distance of many excellent restaurants as well as a well stocked grocery. The kitchen is well equipped and the owner even offers cooking classes! Parking is abundant and free.
