My family had a wonderful time at the Vermont country Lake House. The views from the back deck are so relaxing. We enjoyed walking down the path from the back yard to the stream and on to the lake. Everything was so close and accessible and our kids had an absolute blast. Mark made sure that everything was in order and that we had everything we needed. He called half way through our stay to see if there were any questions he could answer, which was very much appreciated. The house was clean and neat with plenty of space for our large family. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all of our meals and the deck and fire pit added to our enjoyment.

The place has everything and anything a summer rental should have including a big deck, large yard for lawn games, and a great fire pit. Easy walking access to the lake and plenty of beds. To top it off, the property owner is extremely helpful and prompt with any correspondence and helpful tips for your stay. I would absolutely rent from Mark again.

Arriving during a downpour, we had to open all the windows due to the high humidity and use the old dusty box fans in the house to get the air moving. Once we got over the very "lived in" conditions, we all felt that it was a good place to gather for the week. I had to do a little cleaning due to the dirt and grime found in the kitchen area and bathrooms but quickly moved on and ended up having a great time. From campfires every night in the backyard to walks down to Echo Lake which is a gem in itself, we were comfortable, safe and content. We are thinking about renting it again next year as it was a great gathering place for our kids who are all young adults. The surrounding area is truly a Vermont holiday, complete with easy access to gorges, hiking trails and water falls.
