Sunset Bay is a spacious 1 bedroom apartment situated in Torviscas area of Playa De Las Americas, Tenerife.
It is ideally situated close bars and restaurants and only 5 minutes walk to beach at Puerto Colon.
The apartment is on second floor and boasts an extra large balcony with sunbeds, table and chairs and has the sun all day. The balcony overlooks the pool area which has a large pool, kids pool, snack bar and pool tables. the APT HAS ENGLISH TV bbc1,2 itv. channel4,
this i bedapartment is on the very popular sunsetbay complex which is ideally situated close to all amenities just 5 mins walk to beach at puerto colon.it is suitable for 2 upto 4 persons.this spacious apt is well equipt having a comfy sofa and a sofa bed in the lounge.,there is also table and seating for 4 persons there...

My partner booked this apartment without reading all reviews we tried to cancell but couldn't appt needs a deep clean very neglected bedding and towls old smelly entrance to appt also filthy never again

The perfect place
The location is central to everything, bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, and the beach but yet not noisy at night time. Our apartment was comfortable and spacious inside with a huge balcony at the front looking down onto the swimming pool which was very well kept as was the bar and eating area. The balcony at the apartment gets the sun all day long, but there is also a shaded area to sit if you dont want to be in the sun.
We were on lock down the second week and Lynn the owner of the apartment (whom we had not met previously), could not have done enough for us, she was in touch ringing us and making sure we were okay, and offered to let us stay on in her apartment if we were not able to get back to England. The fact we had a comfortable apartment and balcony made it a lot easier for us during the lock down.
We will definately be going back to the same apartment again.

Lovely apartment with huge terrace
We had a fab holiday with my husband and two children. The apartment had everything we needed including English TV which was a nice bonus. We loved the huge terrace over looking the pool. The pool area and playground were great and it was only a short walk to Fanabe beach where there were also lots of shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay there again.

Great Sun Terrace, Shame about what happened
This is a great complex with plenty of bars and places to eat within the grounds of the Hotel/Apartments. The apartment itself is up a small steep incline so families with prams take note, it is a nice apartment with a brilliant sun terrace that gets the sun all day and early evening. I would have scored the review higher and its through no fault of the owner but the holiday marred by a break in whilst we where in the apartment, so please make sure that doors and windows are locked overnight, we had kept the door to the sun terrace ajar to let some air into where the kids where sleeping but being on the 3rd floor you think you would be safe, so please lock all access overnight. We would stay again in the apartment as it was so enjoyable for the rest of the holiday and again it was through no fault of the owner I think we were just very unlucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI ,I AM PLEASED YOU ENJOYED MY APARTMENT IT WAS A SHAME YOU LEFT THE WINDOW OPEN,I NOW PROVIDE A POLE TO GO INSIDE THE WINDOW RUN WHICH ALLOWS TO HAVE THE WINDOW OPEN A LTTLE BUT JAMMS IF ANYONE SHOULD TRY TO OPEN.IT IS NEVER ADVISABLE TO LEAVE PATIO WINDOWS OPEN OVERNIGHT.

Very basic
We hired this apartment due to the fact we new the location of sunset bay and it being very central to the restaurants and shops etc, as we have visited many times before.
However we were very disappointed with our stay because the apartment had not been cleaned for our arrival, the floors inside and out were dirty, also the tv cabinet and bed side cabinets were dirty. The bed was very firm which made it uncomfortable to sleep on every night.
The weather was exceptionally hot and even reached 40 degrees during our stay, on the first day I contacted the owner as we only had a small desktop fan that was very dirty and noisy in the bedroom and asked if she could provide another fan, she said she would see what she could do but we never heard anymore from her. We ended up contacting a company that hired fans in Tenerife and hired a bigger, quieter fan from them for the duration of our stay.
We found there was no outside light on the balcony which is very large and couldn't really sit out there at night, this was very disappointing as inside was too hot due to lack of fans.
This apartment is very basic and could do with a bit of TLC.

i leave notice in the apartment for my guests saying in the event of any issues with the apartment or any issues regarding cleaning to contact me within 2 4 hours of their arrival.i was only contacted regarding a 2 nd fan ,there was no mention of problem with cleanliness of apt, PLEASE NOTE MY APARTMENT IS ALWAYS CLEANED BEFORE GUESTS ARRIVE.if this had been mentioned i would have contacted the cleaner to find out what the problem was .the apartment is always cleaned to a high standard and i also oversee this.people booking in august should realise this is the hottest time of the year.the mattress is a new memory foam mattress and i have not received any feed back saying it was uncomfortable.the fact that in the apartment has large flatscreen tv providing english channels ,comfotable furniture,fridgefreezer,new washing machine ,oven plus new ceramic hob ,microwave ,toaster ,kettle ,i cannot accept that my apartment is basic..i hope future guests will look at the pictures provide .regards the owner.

all day sun
We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment, and had the sun on the extensive balcony all day long. I enjoyed every minite, there are numerous local bars and resturants in the close vicinity to the apartment. The owner also responded immeadiatly to any questions we had. I would definitly stay again.

Sunset bay stay
This could be so much better and I wouldn't mind paying bit extra if place was done up. Whilst there parasol base broke we contacted provider but only given a beach parasol which was of no use as no where to put spike into. We also had lot of work going on in apartment above from Monday to Friday which provider said she knew nothing of which I'm looking into because we couldn't really enjoy verander to full extent. Everything in apartment needs updating from sheets to sunbeds, crockery to towels.

I was contacted by sandra initially asking me if i could give her a refund because the apartment above me was having refurbishment.i explained i was not notified of any work to be taking place which is true i was not i am not in Contol of any owners plans. I did go up to see the workmen and asked if they could make noise as little as possible .other than that there was little else i could do.i have 3 sunbeds on balcony costing 100e each they are less than 2 years old and they are cleaned regularly.i do leave a card in my apartment stating if there are any issues clients are not happywith to contact me and i would do my upmost to resolve any problems i was only contacted about noise and the damaged parasol base .the base was broken due the the parasolbeing left up in the wind by the said clients . as it was weekend i left a beach parasol hoping it would help.my linen and towels are renewed every 6 months.the bottomline is here that i did not refund the clients money.regards the owner.

Oord met kakkerlakken, bah!!!
De aanblik van gruwelijk grote kakkerlakken als je avonds je appartement betreed geven een vies gevoel waarmee het vakantieplezier behoorlijk wordt verpest.
Geen telefoonnummer van eigenaar om verhaal te halen en/of enig contact was ons beschikbaar.
Het grote terras met veel uren zon 'als duidelijk pluspunt' van dit appartement kan de veiligheidsstandaard van huidige bouwbesluit na ons mening zeker niet doorstaan en is met hooguit 90cm de afscherming gevaarlijk laag, zodat valgevaar ontstaat als je aan de rand naar het zwembad kijkt.
Dan de staat van de rolluiken die bijna in hoogste stand schuin in de geleiding hangt en waarbij alle koorden ontbreken en dit niet zonder gevaar lijkt omdat ze zonder borging eigenlijk op ieder moment omlaag kunnen vallen.
De eigenaar noemt zich O. en ja we begrijpen dat je met de verhuur van dit appartement liever niet je volledige naam gebruikt en die te schande maakt. Voor ons staat O voor O,o,o, wat was het smerig.
We komen in dit appartement zeker nooit meer terug.

Nice apartment lacking in essentials
We have stayed at this resort several times on a timeshare basis so we knew about location up a steep hill and lots of steps. We mainly rented because of the large balcony which was great. The only thing that let it down was the quality of the bedding and towels, long past their sell by date! Also the cushions that were in the apartment for the loungers were really old and not useable. We just feel if a little bit of money was spent on bedding, towels and decent crockery and sun lounger cushions would make this far better. I would recommend this but with reservations. The pool area was fantastic and not overcrowded although not heated!

hi jenny i am so sorry to hear you were dissapointed with quality of linen as this is so easy to remedy and had you contacted me whilst you were at my apartment i would have been more than happy to change anything.i do know there was anew set of linen made up on beds for you.i normally change all my linen in january but as you have drawn this to my attention i will address the problem this week.i am glad you enjoyed the balcony and i am lucky my apartment is near to the bottom of the hill and only 2 small flights of steps.thank you so much for taking time to review my apartment and i would love to welcolme you back anytime .

Great apartment
3 of us stayed at the apartment in September this year.the apartment is in a great location close to all local bars shops and restaurants.
The apartment is spacious and well equipped with an absolutely huge balcony/terrace that gets the sun all day!
Would definitely stay here again!

The cheapest flights are with flymonrach.com, thomsonfly.com and xl.com. Tenerfife south is the nearest airpot and takes roughly 15 minutes in a taxi or hire car to get to Sunset Bay apartment. From the airport, follow sign for TF1 Los Cristianos. Take exit 30 marked Torviscas/Playa Fañabe. Turn right and right again, crossing over the motorway. Carry straight on passing hotel Torviscas Playa on the right. Take the next left turn (calle Antonio Navarro) and Sunset Bay is 500m up the road on the left hand side.
