This beach home is one block from Pirates Beach. This home is an open concept home that has a big deck with ocean views. The house is fully equipped to host several families. The dining area has seating for 6 with additional seating at the kitchen bar. The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary cooking essentials.
This home has two master suites. The downstairs ensuite has a king size bed with access to the deck. The upstairs ensuite also has a king size bed and its own private deck. There is also two more bedrooms that each have their own sets of twin beds. Two rolling cots are available also.
The other amenities included with your stay are a full size washer/dryer, WIFI, and cable television in all bedrooms. There is also an outdoor shower plus a half bath on the bottom...

Nice house in outstanding location, but…
The house itself was very nice, and the location was outstanding. However, it could use a deep cleaning and a facelift. The beds were comfortable, but in the 2 twin bedrooms you can hear everything going on in the family room. The sofa moves a bit and, when it does, you can see the filth underneath it. Also, holes in the wall from towel bars and pictures being moved. The microwave is not properly attached. It just felt like nobody cared.

Awesome house
This house is just wonderful! This is about the 4th time we’ve stayed here. It is so clean and well kept & has everything you need! We have several in our family & there’s plenty of room for everyone. Just a short block to the beach & close enough for all the restaurants & activities in town. Love it!

Even though it was pricey, the house was very nice and we enjoyed our stay.
We thought the price was way too high for only two nights, but overall, it was a good experience. Was close to the beach. Upstairs toilet needed work. House clean and well appointed.

Awesome for the First Trip to the Beach for 8-10 year olds!
First off, the property manager and owner were very accommodating, we really appreciate their attention to detail. We decided on an off-season trip to Galveston as a starting point to introduce our 2 children, 8 and 9 yr. old girls to the beach, in lieu of traveling to Alabama or Florida in case they hated the beach.
Our trip consisted of a drive from North Fort Worth, which due to it being a Friday, was quite an extended drive. I suggest leaving much earlier in the morning, 6 AM to avoid the horrible Houston traffic.
Now on to the relevant information.i It is pretty much a large house. Location, this is pretty much right on the beach. It is about a 50- 75 yard walk to the beach max, or if you have a lot of gear to move, there is parking for about 4 vehicles right next to the path to the beach, which of course my wife opted to do.Suggestion, if you have small kids: Take shovels, pails, portable chairs, beach towels, large umbrella or canopy, ice chest etc. You are as I said in quick walking distance to the house. Even though it was late or even off-season, the water was warmer than expected and Sunny throughout the trip. Beach had very few people on it, but I am sure it would be more crowded during the height of the summer season. Be careful with the Kiddos in the ocean. I suggest always be in the water with anyone, kid or adult. We did not let our kids venture out past waste deep even with us in the water, as we had 5 children to control. We did take them out individually to a bit deeper water. There is a bit of undertow and children do not know how to handle it properly, nor due some adults, it can be tricky if you get to far out. The waves were great.
The beach was pretty clean,. except for the expected, shells and seaweed. It was vacant on the Sunday morning when we left.
Beach House itself. It is a single standalone home. It is in a community setting with several other homes. It has view of the beach, although there are several houses closer to the beach. It sleeps 8-10 people. Ideal for 2 families of 4 or 5. There are 2 master rooms with Queen beds, full bathroom and a balcony. TV as well, not that you will be inside much.
There are 2 other rooms with either twin of full beds in them, not sure as my kids and friends kids were in there. Acceptable for kids and teens, probably adults as well. You are in beach mode after all, so sleeping anywhere is an option. It has 3 full bathrooms total in the house and an external shower for sand removal and a small bathroom in the utility area. Charcoal grill is provided, but our friend brought a smoker.
It has an open floor plan with a living room a full kitchen, washer dryer, etc. They provide kitchen utensils etc. however I suggest buying paper plates in lieu of having to clean up the silver ware etc. You are on a vacation and don't want to waste time cleaning. They have a coffee pot, bring your ground coffee. I spoke to the PM, she said they do not provide it.
It has an huge balcony off the master bed room as well as a smaller cozy one off the upper master room on the second level. Sliding glass doors on each of them, ideal for a party, family reunion or some such sort of activity.
There are several sets of stairs due to the design of the home. All the properties have them as they are "raised" due to the potential flooding or storm surge.
If you need supplies, I suggest waiting for most of it as there is a Walmart 10 minutes away and a small deli/store directly across the highway There are also numerous restaurants east on the main strip within 10-15 minutes. There is a pier a 5 minute drive away.
They have cable as well as WIFI. We did have an issue with the WIFI, however after contacting the Property Manager, she had it up and running super fast.
All in all, our kids loved the trip. We had a great time with some Uber awesome friends and got to relax on the beach.
Suggestions for you. Bring all the essentials, towels, bathing suits and any specialty items, like beach toys, ice chest and TOWELS, bring your own towels. While they do provide towels, they are not enough if you have a large party, not a knock, but some peeps tend to walk off with towels by accident.. Wait until you check-in to see if you forgot anything needed.If you did forget anything, I suggest heading to the Walmart.
I gave this 5 stars due the help and directions from the PM s well as the great time we had with our children and our awesome friends. I suggest this house for 2 families up to 8, but it does sleep 10. It is family friendly and has all the amenities you require. It is a beach trip so ride the beach wave..
It is the closest beach to Fort Worth...

We had a GREAT time here.
This house is very nice and we had a great time. The hurricane shutters were great, we could close them on the sunny side of the house and open them as needed, this helped to keep the house cool. There was a child gate on the stairs from the ground floor to the main living area this was nice since we had two small children. It would have been helpful to have another gate on the next set of stairs.
This property advertised 5 bathrooms, this is not quite true. There are 3 full baths with fiberglass shower/ tub combos. These bathrooms are fairly small but adequate for a beach house. There is a half bath on the main floor and there is a toilet (no sink) in an unfinished closet on the ground floor. As with many beach houses, there is an outdoor shower on the ground level.
This house also advertised two bedrooms with two twin beds each. Again this is not quite true. There are two twin bed cots (not beds) in two of the upstairs bedrooms. These are adequate for children but not really comfortable for adults. The queen bed on the upper floor was very firm.
I was somewhat concerned about the balcony railing. As you can see in the picture, there are no slats on the balcony railing, it is pretty much open. I did not really think much about this when I saw the photo, but once we were there we realized this is not really very safe since we had small children with us.
There are some negatives to this property but overall we had a good time. I would probably not rent this property again until the children are older due to the balcony railing.

Well-kept, close to private beach, great for large family
This house was beautiful! It had plenty of room for our family group of 10. It was a short walk to private Pirate's Beach. The house had everything we could've wanted and more. The outdoor shower was especially nice to have.
