Our Galvestonian condo, on the third level of the building (1st level of condos) is a Deluxe One BR with two private balconies off living room and bedroom. Pool view, but not directly over the pool. The bedroom has king bed, the separate living/dining has queen sofa bed. Full kitchen. BBQ grills and picnic areas .. spend the weekend without leaving property or take advantage of wonderful Galveston restaurants. Stay before or after a Galveston cruise. Galveston island is full of history and has ongoing special attractions. One room key will be issued at check in. Additional or replacement room keys must be paid for directly to the Galvestonian for $5 each. Sorry, Galvestonian Bylaws for rentals prohibit one-night rentals. Out of courtesy to other homeowners, our unit is a non-smoking unit and we CANNOT ACCEPT PETS in our rental stays.
Very few lodging accommodations are right on the beach - the majority of the places have you walking across a VERY, VERY, VERY busy street to get to the beach. This unit overlooks the water AND is also on the beach. Just an elevator ride down one floor, grab some warm towels on the way out, and there's the pool and the path down to the beach. The east end of the island is quiet. Driving into the touristy area is easy - but man, it's chaotic in that area and it REALLY makes you appreciate the peaceful atmosphere back at the Galvestonian.
At the Galvestonian, the front desk people are there all of the time and very helpful. Checking in and out was easy. The building (inside and outside) is well-maintained and very clean. Yes, there are rules, and yes they are enforced, and yes they keep the place peaceful. There is an area going out to the pool and beach where many beautifully-rolled towels are kept to grab on your way down, as well as individual sun screens and bug spray. There are lots of chairs around the pool area in the sun and shade with umbrellas. No music on speakers is allowed - so it is quiet and peaceful and you can hear the ocean from the pool. You can reserve beach chairs and umbrellas for $35/day that they set up/take down. I really cannot say enough about the Galvestonian, as a building. We were impressed.
What you see in the photos for Unit 107 is a very good representation of what you get in real life. It is decorated in a classy meets fun boho style and feels very homey. It is VERY CLEAN. The bedroom has a very comfortable king-sized bed (felt new to me) and very comfortable bedding. The room is spacious with a dresser and two end dressers, so you can totally unpack. There is also a balcony overlooking the ocean.
The living room has a tv, couch, table & chairs for eating, and a balcony overlooking the water. There is a recliner on this balcony - covered enough to be outside when it rains, which is peaceful.
The kitchen is galley-style. It has everything you need in a kitchen.
The bathroom has a nice shower - good water pressure and lots of hot water.
I give this place 5-stars for sure! The owner was a dream to work with and recommended a grocery store and restaurants.
Bottom line? If you are going to the island, it's probably a beach trip - stay ON the beach, not across the beach having to cross a busy road. Unit 107 is perfect due to its location, view, cleanliness, and charm!

Enjoyable stay in beach condo
The condo is on East Beach which is very quiet and peaceful.It is far away by
walking distance to the main restaurants and pier,therefore it requires you to drive
everywhere.We were happy with this,it's what we looked for when booking.
The condo was clean and comfortable,which met our expectations and more.
We liked the hot tub next to the pool,and the pool itself too.

We loved the clean , airy new decor. We were overwhelmed with how the condo was stocked ..kitchen . Linen closet, beach chairs, toys , shampoos etc and more

Truly a gem!
Great condo close to elevator and great owner with fast response. On second floor. East beach location groomed daily so no seaweed! Overall a quiet area, staff at Galvestonian stellar. Very clean and roomy condo stocked with many amenities!! King bed sooo comfortable. Very nice and relaxing trip. Don't hesitate one bit to book this condo !!!

Great Escape
This was our first time to stay at the Galvestonian on East Beach, but it will not be the last. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and very helpful from changing to a more handicap condo to restaurant suggestions to helping set a romantic mood with the fire pit. The entire setting was clean, well kept, and appealing. Unlike other rental condos, there was daily housekeeping and no having to strip/wash bedding and towels before leaving. The philosophy is "Your on VACATION" Thanks for a GREAT ESCAPE

Perfect Beach Getaway
We recently stayed here over the holiday weekend and had a wonderful time. The condo was perfect for our small family and the view was lovely. I was most impressed with The Galvestonian. The facility is gorgeous and the staff is so helpful. The beach is cleaned two times a day and the views are stunning. I will definitely come back.

The view from the balcony is incredible, very peaceful.
The Galvestonian appears to be one of the best places to stay in the Galveston area. You don't have to contend with Seawall Boulevard, but you are still very close to Pleasure Pier and endless restaurant options.

Wonderful, peaceful, perfect!
The location in Galveston was amazing. Off away from the crowds, with a beach that is cleared and cleaned up daily. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot for my husband, 2 daughters and I. The owner of this condo was awesome. She answered all my questions and responded promptly. The condo was great. We did bring an air mattress, as we were concerned the pull out couch might not be enough for our daughters. That was a good idea for us. The front desk was very helpful. The whole place was clean. We used all the amenities--nice warm poolwith large beach towels, private tennis courts with plenty of raquets and balls to borrow, sand toys to borrow and beach umbrellas (fee but worth it), bbq picnic area on the beach, laundry facilities, suggestions of things to do in the area from the front desk, listening to the ocean from the balcony. Thank you so much! It was the vacation we needed!

Easy Access with beautiful oceanfront view
My husband and I booked a week long stay on the east end of Galveston Island and were pleased we chose The Galvestonian. The staff was friendly and helpful from the time we arrived until our check out. The location was quiet and directly on the water, and yet still close enough to all the sights of the island. The pool and hot tub area are great. The sunrise from our private balcony each morning was special. If you are looking for a condo where your time is very well spent and the staff goes out of their way to make it a pleasant stay, you can't go wrong at the Galvestonian.

Just step into our sandals. The Galvestonian is one of only three beachfront condominium properties on Galveston's East End. When visiting Galveston, why stay anywhere other than the top rated Galvestonian located directly on the Gulf of Mexico beach and close to the Strand. Going on a Cruise? Less than an hour from Houston and Hobby Airport, Galveston is a tourist destination with year round activities to suit everyone!
To reach the Galvestonian, continue on Broadway (I-87) through Galveston. Turn left on Seawall Boulevard at Stewart Beach, then right on East Beach to the Galvestonian at 1401 East Beach. Park in the upper parking lot off of the lobby (NO parking fee).
